Great place to stay near LA
Very clean, comfortable studio guesthouse. We stopped at the nearby market for some food to eat in. We had good breakfast at both TLC and Cafe 27. Convenient location for visiting Malibu and Santa Monica.

Artist, Designer husband wife team have a special interest in the 13,000 acres of wild land nearby with deer and bobcat regularly traveling through our property. We cultivate for a habitat garden in mind. Fresh herbs, vines and flowers are grown seasonally. Art studio on premises and guests may be invited to use the roof patio with views toward Saddlepeak and Malibu. Megan is a docent in TSP and can guide you to understand the local flora and fauna.

Why they chose this property

Over thirty coast live oak trees with toyon and native plants attracting birds and butterflies to view. Red Shoulder hawks hunt under the tree canopy while acorn woodpeckers, flickers and migrating birds abound. Wildlife is everywhere in our peaceful enclave. We value privacy and quietude for our guests to enjoy.

What makes this property unique

Topanga is a "free thinking" community with many attractive events, farmers markets, shops and restaurants, art galleries and healers. You may book a massage with a local therapist or aromatherapy specialist. Guided walks are available in Topanga State Park, Will Rogers SP and Malibu Creek SP. This is one of five unique Mediterranean climates in the world, Topanga was considered sacred land and shared by Tongva and Chumash tribes for centuries. Horse trails, mountain biking and plenty of ocean access is nearby. We provide advice and insider information on ways to avoid the crowds.
