Absolutely Amazing!!
We loved everything about the lodge- it was so clean, spacious and all amenities were to a very high standard. The heated pool was wonderful, the animals so calm and friendly. Steve and Jane were so kind and welcoming. We wanted to book this holiday for our 6 year old daughter and I knew it was exactly the right place for her when she kept asking am I dreaming mummy! We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you!
The long barn is lovely, very spacious and immaculately presented. It comes with great amenities such as the tv and games room and access to an outdoor pool and a small garden. The hosts were really friendly, helpful and showed a lot of flexibility in regards accessing the pool when the weather allowed. We were a family group including a 10 year old and a person with limited mobility and the accommodation was brilliant for them - just be aware that there is one internal step between the downstairs bedrooms and the kitchen/dining area.

Absolutely incredible!!!!
From start to finish - we enjoyed every single second!
We spent 3 nights here for my Mums wedding and it was perfect.
The barn itself is beautiful, the horses & dogs on your doorstep made it feel like a real life country dream and the owners Jane and Steve were incredible. I can’t wait to visit again!!!

Fantastic weekend at the long barn
We went for a weekend away with friends and were so impressed by the barn and its surroundings. All of the bedrooms were spacious and super comfy, the kitchen was fully equipped with high quality appliances and of course all of the games like the pool table and table tennis went down really well.
We had a fantastic time and would come back in a heartbeat, very good value for money!

Delightful stay
We were 6 adults looking for a quiet weekend away. The house was lovely and in a delightful location with lovely owners, who lived next door, who were happy to help with ideas for walks etc and to answer any questions we had.
The master bedroom is up the stairs from the kitchen/lounge and has no door. It has a curtain separating the bathroom area from the bedroom and was beautifully done but be aware there isn’t a lot of privacy. The games room was fantastic and there were 2 separate seating areas for guests, though it was a squeeze for 6 people to lounge in one space.
The pool was warm and clean and exactly as the photos show.
There are horses in the stables next door, sheep in the fields, some chickens, and 2 gorgeous dogs who were very friendly plus some cats, one of which enjoyed being a house guest
The owners were very keen not to have the pets be intrusive but we enjoyed having them roaming around and happily encouraged Barney the cat to join us.
A wonderful stay and would happily return.

90th birthday celebration holiday
We stayed at The Long Barn for a week in June for mum’s 90th birthday celebration. The barn has been beautifully restored and furnished providing a truly wonderful holiday home. The equipment provided is excellent and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Despite the poor weather we managed a dip in the (thankfully) heated pool which was wonderful. Steve and Jane, the hosts are so friendly and on hand to help with any questions or problems ( none encountered). The farm is in an idyllic setting and well placed to visit many of the interesting places in the vicinity. I can wholeheartedly recommend a holiday at The Long Barn.

High spec property in peaceful location with lots of activities
Some friends and I rented this stunning property for a weekend and enjoyed every moment. The whole property is spacious, light and equipped with high quality fixtures and fittings. We all slept really well with the surrounding area being so quiet and the beds so comfortable.
We loved the games room and the table tennis and pool tables were in almost constant use. The private garden was lovely too and comes with a badminton set.
The swimming pool is excellent. It's large enough to swim proper lengths, warm enough to enjoy on a mild day and had a generous array of floats and furniture for relaxing in. The surrounding trees and soaring birds of prey add to the peaceful atmosphere.
The local pub is noteworthy, with its large garden, tasty local ales and fine dining.
Walking beyond the village isn't so great with many of the bridle paths out of use, so hikers will have to travel further afield.
The hosts were friendly and helpful when needed. The barn adjoins their property but we weren't disturbed or interrupted by their movements.
Our only complaint would be the bright floodlights that shine into the lounge area at night, which were a bit distracting.
Overall it's a luxury experience with plenty to keep families and friends entertained. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home with phenomenal hosts
We had a wonderful long weekend stay at this beautifully kept accommodation. We visited Oxford, Blenheim and Waterperry gardens with the children. The highlight for my children however, was to help Jane around the farm of a morning. She was so patient and kind with them and went above and beyond as a host which we are very grateful for. The pool was also so warm, I didn't think I'd use it but I did :-)

Stunning!
The perfect place for a family May Bank Holiday celebration get together during a heatwave. The property is beautiful and has everything you need including very comfortable beds and powerful showers. Having our own private garden with table and chairs and gas BBQ was ideal, as was the games room. The heated pool was amazing and it was easy to arrange our 2 hour slots with our very welcoming hosts Jane and Steve. We were lucky enough to be able to feed some lambs that they had rescued and spend time with the horses. Everyone enjoyed the frequent visits from Bear and Martha (the Rhodesian Ridgebacks - gentle giants). We would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

An idyllic luxury retreat
This was the ideal holiday home for our family with teenage boys. Every detail was so well thought through. The decor was gorgeous, the spacious rooms were luxurious, the beds, linens, superb en suite bathrooms - all faultless. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
The owners are really kind and helpful - we felt very looked after.
The games room and board games were brilliant and the garden was perfect. We especially loved seeing the horses, chickens and other cute animals outside our windows. Everywhere you looked from the house there was an incredible view. Although we barely wanted to leave the Barn during our time as we felt so comfortable and we loved cooking there, the countryside walks to the local pubs were beautiful.
We can’t wait to book again! Thank you for making our stay so perfect

A wonderful family break in a beautiful house in the countryside.
We had a wonderful 3 night break at The Long Barn in February. The building has been renovated to an exceptional standard, whilst retaining all its original features. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything you might need to cook. The lounge area had sumptuous sofas, the bedrooms all with en-suites were extremely comfortable and had great views of the surrounding gardens. We loved the games room especially with a pool table, table tennis table, table football and another TV and more sumptuous sofas! The Barn is approximately 20 minutes drive from Oxford and The Clifden Arms pub is a 5 minutes drive or 15 minutes walk away with gorgeous food for lunches and dinner. The owners were very communicative and friendly, and happy to help with any requests. We were sad to leave and hope to return in the summer. Thank you Steve and Jane.

Amazing Family Friendly Retreat
We had the most wonderful time staying with my family at the Long Barn while in town for wedding. A beautiful home and property for my young son to run around looking at the farm animals and enjoying the most amazing pool. Fantastic hosts, would strongly recommend this property!
