Comfortable stay

Had a lovely few days at Seakisses, the cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed. Just a couple of things we found lacking, the absence of an information pack regarding the facilities on site & a map of The Bay itself. The Bay is a really nice place as a Base but there's not much there for children.

Thank you for taking time to write us a review. We do feel we need to address a few points in your review which we feel are not justified. Firstly the guidebook - we send you a fully comprehensive guidebook which our system says you accessed individually on 25 separate occasions . This guidebook gave you all the info you need and our logs show you even viewed the site plan several times too? Regarding value for money we are sad you scored this down as this property is competitively priced and you got a great deal. We are glad you had a nice holiday and thanks for the feedback.

Short stay

The location to amenities and surounding vllages was good . The house was very good with most stuff you might need provided. We would stay again . My only comment would be that on the whole house was clean but the blinds in kitchen lounge and bathroom very dusty not just a weeks worth dust in my opinion so I would suggest they get those cleaned. Then I would score higher than 3 .

Perfect holiday cottage

Our weeks stay at Seakisses was absolutely faultless. The cottage was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed and situated in a perfect position...near amenities and a short stroll to beach path. The cottage was also very comfortable, the beds and sofas extremely comfy! Rachel the owner was very welcoming and helpful. Thanks Rachel for a lovely stay! We will definitely be booking again.

6/10 Okay

Disappointed

We've stayed at a few Anchor Bay properties and have noticed that the cleanliness has deteriorated over the last couple of cottages. On this one, there was 3 bags of dog poo left on the back patio, dog biscuits left in a corner from the previous occupants, the oven wanted a deep clean, cups were tea stained. I don't know if it was new staff and not trained properly but it still seems not acceptable. It was a dog friendly cottage but the corner sofa absolutely stunk ( our dog doesn't go on furniture)and we had to buy throws to sit on. Previous dog hairs on cushions, nail polish on cushions on the bed. I didn't want to write this review but it needs one so that cleanliness will improve.

Fabulous holiday park, like a home from home. Great location for local beaches, one of which is only a 10/15 minute walk. Seakisses was well equipped, and had everything you need for a few nights for a family of 4. Our only bugbear was that we had to clean any crockery and cutlery before using, as it was dirty. Other than than that the house was clean enough, and also had the bonus of Sky TV (although it definitely needs a new remote control!), and Netflix. The pub opposite has a nice atmosphere and isn’t too loud. The food is average (a bit beige), but fantastic to have on the doorstep for a nice cold drink at the end of a long day exploring, as well as a little shop onsite and little games arcade. There’s also a decent swimming pool, but book in advance! Filey Brigg is a great place for rock pools and fossil hunting, Whitby and York are both an hour’s drive away too, which are both wonderful places to visit (park & ride bus number 2 in York makes life easy!). We enjoyed Filey zoo, where the animals look genuinely well cared for. We also visited Malton. Can recommend the Purple Carrot deli for veggie/vegan food, however we were a little disappointed with the town. Hopefully there’s more going on there when there’s a market, but it was extremely quiet on a Tuesday! All in all we had a nice 4 days at Seakisses- it’s a lovely base for exploring the local area or further afield. We will return!
