This was a huge property for a family of 4. Tucked away in a small village on the northern coast this rental is certainly a hidden gem. Booking/check-in was easy and the host was quick to respond to questions. Street parking was readily available nearby and the location was well situated to reach any part of the island relatively easily.The house had a lot of character, a well stocked kitchen, an outdoor barbeque and the pool (shared with one other rental property) was an added bonus. We appreciated having laundry facilities. The only downside was despite having fans and a dehumidifier in every room, it was still a little too hot to sleep comfortably at night. We would still go back and highly recommend others as an alternative to staying in the city.

Location was great to head into Ribiera Grande for surfing for our adult sons/girlfriends), Ponta Delgada (easy airport access) and two locations on the west side of Sao Miguel. I loved my daily swims in the pool and the outside area is the greatest aspect of this home, when the weather is good! The property management team was attentive to some of the glitches… Including loss of hot water and problems with the dryer functioning… Not a good combination when it is so damp and rainy. Otherwise, we had a most amazing stay and family reunion!Spacious accommodations for three couples. The small market literally across the street was great for getting some essentials and really inexpensive and good wine and beer.
