This property is on the first floor, so walk up to find a lovely open-plan living space. It’s perfect for socialising whilst engaging in different activities, and combines a kitchen, diner and lounge into one. The room is beautifully lit through the bay windows, which offer a charming view and bathe the sitting area in natural light. To one side you’ll notice a kitchen with a breakfast bar where your sous-chefs can help out and chat with you, or have a little snack. Then there’s a table for family meals, or you can clear it off and play some board games. After busy days, get some rest in the bedrooms. There’s a twin room for the kids and a double for the adults, which has an en-suite for a little privacy and a nice long shower. Finally, there’s a shared garden which you can enjoy with the other residents. Take a cup of coffee there for a bit of morning sunshine and let your dog gently sniff the flower beds.

Southwold is a nice little hub with history, culture and great beaches. If you’d like to go further out, try the Henstead Exotic Gardens (7 miles) for some beautiful botanical life, or let your kids tire themselves out at the Adventure Island Play Park (10 miles) where they can go zorbing, do archery and enjoy the soft play. Make the most of the fine weather by going to Oulton Broad Water Sports Centre (12 miles) where you can sail, kayak and canoe.
