Slip off sandy outer layers at the door then venture into the bright heart of the home. Prop open the patio doors and enjoy the salty ocean breeze as you rustle up a spread in the spacious kitchen. Slide out the wooden chairs arranged around the dining table, raise a toast to your special occasion, then delve into a well-earned feast. After dinner, stretch out on the squishy sofas with a sweet treat and bask in the crackling glow of the wood burner. Retire upstairs to find two well-presented bedrooms. Choose from a spacious double and a bright twin, each with coordinated wooden furniture. Sip your morning coffee from the patio surrounded by shrubs while little ones play on the stretch of soft grass.

Stroll along the iconic Southwold Pier (400 metres) to enjoy blissful ocean vistas and spot the quirky water-powered clock. Ascend the spiral staircase of the historic Southwold Lighthouse (400 metres) with a knowledgeable local guide or sip local ales and gin blends during a tour of the Adnams Brewery (300 metres). After scoping out Southwold, hop aboard the passenger ferry to soak in the delights of nearby Walberswick (2 miles).
