Dating back to the 1800's, this charming, former sailors cottage is located just a short walk from Weymouth's picturesque harbourside. A comfortable home from home, this cottage is just right for families looking to explore the Jurassic Coast and take in the abundance of natural beauty throughout Dorset. The spacious yet cosy living room is the real heart of the house, with wood burning stove and plenty of comfortable seating to relax in the cooler months. Through to the modern fitted kitchen, well equipped with everything you need throughout your stay. Patio doors open out to a courtyard garden, with outside seating and side access for your four legged friends! Upstairs you will find both bedrooms and the modern family bathroom with 'P' shape bath and overhead shower.


Mariner's Cottage is perfectly located for exploring the local area and attractions, within just a short walk you reach Weymouth harbour, with a mix of independent coffee shops, galleries and plenty of eateries for all tastes from seafood to pub grub! From the cottage you can also reach Newton's Cove, a popular shallow water beach with rock pools for exploring, it is a firm favourite with locals all year round! Walk through the Nothe Gardens, soaking up the dramatic coastal scenery until you reach the Nothe Fort - built to defend the town in WWII. Take a trip further afield on one of the many boat trips that run from the harbour, explore sailing and watersports at Portland Marina or even pack a picnic and see where the day takes you.


Kitchen / Dining Room: Fitted kitchen with wooden effect worktops - Dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster. Dining table and seating for four. Patio doors opening out to courtyard.


Living Room: Cosy and comfortable with wood burning stove, feature brick fireplace, flat screen TV, DVD player, comfortable seating.


2 Bedrooms: 1) Master bedroom, double bed, storage. 2) Twin Room, single beds. (please note that due to the size of the room, one of the beds is shorter than the other at 6’ rather than 6’ 3)


1 Bathroom: 1) Family bathroom on first floor with 'P' shape bath and overhead shower, vanity unit with wash basin, heated towel rail, W.C.


Courtyard Garden: Enclosed paved courtyard, side gate access.


Linen and towels provided: please bring your own beach towels.


Travel cot & highchair available: please bring your own cot linen.


WiFi: Included.


Fuel: Gas central heating. Guests to supply their own logs for the log fire.


Parking: On street parking available close to property, alternatively metered car parking in nearby car parks.
