From nearby Seahouses (5.5 miles), take a boat trip to the Farne Islands, home to puffins, seals, and other fascinating wildlife. Venture a little further to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (10 miles), a magical tidal isle rich with heritage and natural beauty. Alternatively, Alnwick Castle and Gardens (15 miles) beckon with fairy-tale towers, interactive exhibitions, and the enchanting treehouse restaurant.
