About this property
2 Bed in Outwell (oc-m28029)
Soak in the hot tub while you relish the jaw-dropping views from this superb rural getaway. Ideal for a couple or small family, it’s perfect for a restorative escape surrounded by nature, but also close enough to interesting towns for some pick-me-up retail therapy, too.
High ceilings and huge windows create a sense of grandeur in this five-star destination, in which crisp white walls complement a textural combination of timber and brick. Enjoy the free-flowing living space, with a superb kitchen, a large dining table and a double-height lounge area. Open the doors and enjoy that inside-outside feeling, or draw the curtains and enjoy a night in front of a movie on the Smart TV. Also on the ground floor is a WC-cum-laundry room. A hand-made oak staircase leads you up to the first floor, where you’ll find two delightful bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, sharing a spacious and luxurious bathroom. After a day exploring, its roll-top bath offers the opportunity for a restorative soak, or there’s a separate shower for a refreshing rinse. A hot tub is the star of the show on the enclosed patio, and you can also appreciate the views while you dine alfresco, perhaps grilling something tasty on the BBQ.
The barn is part of a small complex that is set within an acre of private land and surrounded by gorgeous countryside. You’ll find walks from your doorstep, including along the canal next to the site, and you’re just on the edge of the charming village of Outwell, where there’s a choice of shops and places to eat and drink. One of Norfolk’s oldest market towns, Downham Market is 6.5 miles, and makes a great trip, whether to see its historic buildings, try some local foodie treats or visit its interesting shops.
