Feast your eyes on the beautiful Helmingham Hall Gardens (12.5 miles) and enjoy a reviving drink and homemade cake in the tearoom. For a day at the seaside, head to pretty Southwold, with its sandy beach, Edwardian pier and landmark lighthouse, or Aldeburgh, famous for its cultural vibe (both 20 miles).
