We stayed in a historically beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings. So much thought has gone into everyone having a cosy and very comfortable stay here. Lots of pretty villages to visit around cratfield. Would definitely go back for another relaxing holiday. The owners, Peter and Sue could not have been more helpful. Thank you both once again.

Fantastic authentic old cottage in a lovely village in a beautiful area. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly and the cottage has everything you'll need for a great holiday. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this wonderful place but if you are tall there are quite a few low beams.

Bell Corner Cottage is well placed for exploring this corner of Suffolk and into Norfolk.
Bell Corner Cottage is well placed for exploring this corner of Suffolk and into Norfolk. The accommodation is spacious and there is plenty of outdoor space. The owners, who live in their own property on the same site but quite separate, are very helpful. In common with many villages Cratfield has long since lost its local amenities so you'll need to travel some way to the nearest shops and a pub, but for a quiet rural getaway it is ideal.

Lovely cottage and lovely owners who couldn’t be more helpful offering local knowledge about such things as where to park our camper-van. Sue’s decoration of this little piece of history is exquisite...plus the bed was so comfortable it was hard to get out in the morning. A perfect spot to take it easy and unwind, plenty of local walking, just be prepared to drive some narrow roads to get to places.

It may not suit everyone, but Bell Corner Cottage suited us (a couple and two dogs) perfectly. Easy access to Suffolk coast and good walking but far enough away from hustle and bustle to be quiet and lovely and dark at night!
Owners were lovely.
No shops nearby so just plan your eating/food supplies.
We loved it.

We had such a nice 2 weeks at Bell Corner Cottage. The owners are lovely. We played table tennis, visited all the local dog friendly beaches and a couple of pubs and loved exploring the many miles of quiet country lanes on our bikes. Also a brilliant location if you like star gazing - we spent a couple of memorable nights lying outside watching the Perseid meteor showers. An idyllic location with perfect hosts.

This was a lovely cottage, well appointed, clean and friendly.
This was a lovely cottage, well appointed, clean and friendly. It was in a remote and quiet area which was just what we wanted. Shops were some way away (15 min drive) but there were houses in walking distance selling fresh eggs, honey etc. The only negative was that the loo was downstairs and the stairs were very steep so not good in the middle of the night.

We had a long weekend break in February at the cottage and found it to be very comfortable and cosy. Its a cottage, so be aware stairs are of their time - seem narrow and steep and Cratfield is quite remote, so a car is a must. Sue and Peter great and helpful hosts and on site if any problems arise.
A great place, a proper cottage, i.e. lots of wooden beams, beautiful country house style furniture and an open fire place. A great base for exploring Suffolk

A fabulous cottage, we loved the walks in and around the village. The cottage was extremely well catered for everything needed.
Stunning fire which we did not need as it was so hot the week we went!
Only criticism is some areas particularly bathroom had lots of cobwebs.

I really meant to leave a note in the visitors book , wow what fabulous place, peaceful , charming , log fires , lovely garden with secret Iron age round house , ( not for guests but interesting) quiet - that is it - quiet , no pub ,no shops near , nice walks , churches , easy drive to everywhere you need . Big supermarket just on outskirts of Halesworth stocks everything. The stairs are VERY steep , not for older guests unless spry or very young unless you are careful also there is a deep pond which we loved , a great base to visit the area , spend quality family time ,play cards , enjoy each others company and have a conversation for a change - we will be back , loved it ! It would be a great Christmas cottage , booked for next two years already .... lovely people too! Thanks for the home made cakes on arrival . x

Had a great week here with our two children. Very quiet location yet only about 10 minutes to nearby pubs and lots of places to see within half an hour drive. We had a wonderful week, the cottage is charming and very doggie friendly, we had afternoon tea with the owners who were very lovely, professional in their assistance and friendly. Every room is great.
The cottage offers a natural setting in the heart of the Suffolk countryside we felt at home immediately and there is an interesting guide on the history of the cottage.
We would recommend it to others and would stay again if the occasion arises.

Fourth visit - still enjoying Bell Corner Cottage and its wonderful sense of peace (yet so well situated near the excellent town of Halesworth). The living room is our dream place and always provides us with serenity (not to mention roaring log fires). The hosts are charming and welcoming, the kitchen is well equipped, the village of Cratfield has definitely become our 'home from home'.
