The free bus transportation was awesome! Easiest way to get to and from the mountain. The hot tub after a day on the slopes was wonderful. Loved the new electric fireplace!
Great place for a family of 3-4. Clean. Everything you need in the kitchen. Lots of comfy bedding and sheets. Super close to bus stop. Perfect spot for a trip to Park City.
Easy to find
Could use more handicap parking
Could use handicap bar in bath tub
Enjoyed the overall space
We cooked many meals in the kitchen and enjoyed it
The studio had everything we needed for a great ski escape. Kitchen was well stocked. Free underground parking included. Park City bus stops located close by with easy access to PC mountain base, supermarket and Main Street.

Very convenient location and a well equipped condo
This condo is well placed in the Prospector Square area. The bus for both Park City and Deer Valley ski areas stop right outside the door - very convenient! There are many restaurants within walking distance - check out Sammy's Bistro in the Plaza, great food at low prices. Would stay here again.

Thank you for the kind words, it was a pleasure hosting your stay. Isn't Sammy's great? It was featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. He recommends the "Chivito Club Sandwich"!
Great location for catching free bus to the mountain. Unit is a bit dated but very comfortable for 2 people. TV remotes dont work well. Hot tub good but very hot. Overall good place to stay.

Hi Marcene, glad you enjoyed the location and thanks for the feedback. I’ll swap the remote batteries right away and make sure the remotes have a good line of site to the cable box and TV. Hope to have the chance to host a future stay sometime
Condo was just as described in the listing. Nice unit. Well stocked. Perfect for a small group. Great location. Bus stop just out the door. Actually communicate with the owner, Jon, who was easy to work with. Would stay there again with a small group.
Could walk or bicycle everywhere. Condo had good kitchen (for 2) so no need to always go out to eat. Host was very responsive to a need that developed. Carpet & external side of windows could use a deep clean though. We would definitely stay again because everything is quite convenient & very livable. Thanks!

Great location, great host, and very well organized
I can't say enough of how great my stay was. The property is amazing and dealing with Jon was incredibly easy. I have never stayed at a more organized location on VRBO. Everything you could possibly need was provided by the host. This was way easier than staying at a hotel. Additionally the property was incredibly clean and it had everything I needed. Also, the location is ideal if you are looking to stay right in Park City. This will definitely be my go to location for future stays in Park City. I highly recommend without any reservations.

Perfect place to get away from the hustle
Don’t let the square footage steer you away from this one, we had 3 people andit was very roomy and very open. The bus stop was literally down the back flight of stairs and right outside the door with buses running every 20 minutes. It took about 10 minutes to get to the base of Park City Mountain, the trip back was about the same. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay convientely located in Park City

Isn't that bus system great!!! You can be at the ski resort in the same time it would take so warm up your car and scrape the windshield. Thanks for the 5 star review.

Overall it was OK. The pool was not in operation, and hasn’t been for a while. A pool is important for my wife, we specifically look for pools when booking a stay. The only other thing I will mention is, make sure to bring your own TP, they only leave one roll for the whole week.

Shoot, I'm sorry about the pool and the TP! I recommend future travelers check with me about pool availability if it is important, as there have been some unexpected repairs this past year. I've had a discussion with prep crew about the TP, and have their commitment this will be resolved.

Not Good!
This is not a one bedroom condo. It is a studio. It is quite old and needs updating desperately! It smelled terrible when we opened the door and we had to leave the sliding door open the entire time we were there to be able to stand the air. The carpet is filthy! The tub has cracks in it so you don’t know what is growing in there.
We were very dissatisfied, especially for how much we paid to stay there! I wish we had just gotten a hotel!

Thank you for your feedback regarding the confusion on the layout of the unit. It is an open floor plan and the property summary has been updated to reflect that. I assure you we have the property professionally cleaned between every guest and they use professional grade cleaning products to kill bacteria and viruses. We do steam clean the carpet and make cleanliness a top priority for all our guests.

Condo is a Gem!
My sister & I were originally looking for a place downtown for a convention, but saw this condo’s listing. Our friends told us the drive was too far & traffic would be crazy. Wrong & wrong! Park City is just far enough away from all of the hustle of downtown to give you some quiet.
The Carriage House building itself is slightly dated, but we were pleasantly surprised to see that our room was just as gorgeous as the pictures. You have everything you need for your getaway; kitchen is stocked & bathroom has a hairdryer & plenty of toiletries.
Our only complaint was not about the condo itself, but the jacuzzi/hot tub. Unfortunately, the jets were not working & the water was around 80 degrees for the entirety of our stay. Otherwise, everything was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend & will look to book this very condo if we are ever able to return!

Thank you for taking the time to review my condo and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay there as much as we do! So happy that you enjoyed the new upgrades we just completed! Some things are out of our control, but rest assured our building management is very responsive and jumps on any reported issues typically within an hour. Hope to hear from you soon!

BEWARE $150 DOG CHARGE: People above us had a dog, and were annoyingly bouncing a ball across the floor on and off during the day. WE got charged the $150 pet fee, instead of our upstairs neighbor. Which is funny since my husband is highly allergic to anything with fur or feathers and was relieved when the building sign said "no pets". How do you prove you didn't bring a dog? I'm not paying for an allergy test to prove we don't have and never have had a dog! The booking wouldn't let us back in to dispute the charge, so we texted the owner directly and he ghosted us. Don't recommend booking from this owner.
However, if you can prove you don't have a pet and don't mind noise from the upstairs neighbor (floor is thin enough to hear voices, but not make out what they are saying) the place was clean and functional. It had a very "2nd home" vibe. For example there was a crack in the bathtub and the faucets were really dated and the kitchen table surface was really scratched. Our door code didn't work and the owner was really responsive and stayed on the line until it worked. (Code was suppose to work after 4pm, but it was after 5pm that it actually worked. Maybe a time difference thing?) There was hardly any toilet paper and we ran out the last morning and couldn't locate any in any of the cupboards or drawers so had to leave early the last day to find a bathroom. It was adequate, if you don't have noisy neighbors that weekend and don't mind paying for someone else's pet fee.

Not a bad place but a smoker had been there and it triggered my asthma
The unit was nice enough:….With one huge exception
… smoker(s) had been there very recently — earlier that day?...
…arrived at 4:10 PM, cleaners were still finishing up (and left at about 4:40)… Not a big deal but when able to enter the unit there was an overwhelming and powerful chemical smell of cleaners… I’m not sure what kind but truly overwhelming and I had to open the windows and turn on the heat full bore toy make it tolerable.... (Btw I thought the cleaning fee seemed a bit steep!)
went shopping and 2-3 hours later I came back and the chemical smell had dissipated, mostly, but then I could smell the cigarette smoke.
I have asthma and the cigarette smoke triggered terrible coughing which I have still not been able to shake even though I have been to the doctor. I thought the cigarette smell would disappear and be totally OK… Obviously I was wrong…
And furthermore, unfortunately somebody else in the building was also smoking and periodically there would be new whiffs of cigarette smoke in the unit...Oddly enough I never smelled cigarette smoke in the hallways (except once or twice some pot)… I have no exact idea who was responsible but I think it might’ve been the people in the unit right down below (though that’s hard to track down so I might be wrong) as I think it came through the patio door and window or maybe even the heating unit exhaust vent.
I did mention it to unit owner (in message file) but I held off because wasn’t completely sure whether it was dissipating or not… I thought it was still there a bit but it wasn’t until my girlfriend arrived later that she walked in and instantly said “Oh somebody’s been smoking”.
Renting is a pig in a poke and often times there’s no management company on site to complain to where they might conceivably offer a different unit.
No suspicion that the unit owner did anything wrong intentionally, Though when I wrote him that there were cigarette smoke I did not get a prompt response. On other issues he had been very prompt which I appreciated. Nevertheless I didn’t get what I paid for : a smoke free living unit
What would be fair & decent thing to do is for the unit owner to give me a discount from the total bill....I’d suggest $500.00
I’d also recommend that VRBO require every owner to install a cigarette smoke detector.
Could never rent there again.
Even there are signs clearly say “no smoking” with heavy penalties there are obviously smokers about.
It’s a bummer and learned my lesson.

Dear Mr. S,
You have full right to express your opinion on this site and give a one star review. All of the owners of the Carriage House condominiums, myself included, take the issue of smoking on premise very seriously. I will respond with facts and leave it at that:
-The cleaning crew that was there the day you arrived reported no smoke smell.
-The cleaning crew after you and the crew after the next guest reported no smoke smell (and I explicitly instructed them to check for it).
-The two guests after you reported no smoke smell. In fact the guest immediately after you gave our unit a 5 star review.
-You state “somebody else in the building was also smoking” … “I never smelled cigarette smoke in the hallways” … “I think it came through the patio door and window” … “I think it might’ve been the people in the unit right down below”.
-When you first confirmed your suspicion of smoke smell, I very quickly gave you a list of options to remedy the smell which you rejected.
-When you told me on your last night of stay about your suspicion of it being the people in the unit below, I immediately contacted the HOA to notify the owner of that unit.
-Your claim of smoke smell has not been corroborated by anyone.
While I do take the issue of smoking in the unit very seriously, I have found no evidence that the problem existed before or after your stay. As stated above, the HOA was notified as was the owner of the unit below mine, and I know that we all take the issue very seriously in our building (The HOA responded very quickly to my report). I am left to believe that this claim was for a short-term issue that started upon your arrival and was resolved upon your departure, possibly coinciding with the timing of guests in the unit below. I am 100% confident that there is no residual smoke odor in the room and that the unit fully complies with being a non-smoking unit.
Final fact: I will not discuss financial matters in a public forum.
The location was good to catch the busses to the mountain the red and yellow lines stope across pioneer drive about every ten minutes.
The unit was equiped with foils food wraps and spices..
Had issues with T.V. remote would not get cable tv chanels for the whole week..Jon tried to remotely fix it from the bay area,no luck, so went the Olympics broadcast..it would be nice to have a maintenice person on site. The bath tub could use replacement, jets dont work ,bottom cracked [look out below, drip, drip]
The unit met are needs.
Over all good stay.I would consider it again.
It was just as advertised. Bed, pullout, full kitchen .... with the shuttle route stop just outside the door. We came to ride the mountain and have a place to sleep and eat. Perfect.
perfect location for a ski week. condo had everything i needed, many restaurants in walking distance, covered parking is a plus too! would def stay here again.

We are very lucky to have a covered parking lot just steps away from our building, it is a pretty unique perk to have in the Prospector Square neighborhood. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again sometime!
Carriage House is great location with good access to bus lines, to Main Street, Park City and Ski Resorts. Owner is quick to respond to requests/questions and was considerate of our COVID concerns. Was comfortable for the two of us. Kitchen was well appointed and had the basic condiments to get started.

I'm very glad you felt comfortable enough to stay at our property during this pandemic. We do take cleanliness seriously. We left extra cleaning wipes for you, sprayed a sanitizer throughout the unit 2 days before your arrival, and blocked off the day prior to your arrival to ensure it was vacant for 24 hours. We hope to host you again sometime!
Easy walk to bars and easy bus rides to ski resorts. Would stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Jon Alexander
We are a San Francisco Bay Area family of four who fell in love with Utah for its’ beautiful landscapes, its’ many and HUGE snow resorts, and abundant year-round activities. We love skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, and roller-coasters and have found that Utah offers just about everything that doesn't require an ocean.
Why they chose this property
We bought this condo as a place to get away from the Silicon Valley hustle and avoid the crowded Tahoe slopes.
What makes this property unique
We chose this property for it's location. The kids can hop on the free bus to get to the slopes in minutes, and we can walk to many wonderful Prospector dining options.
