Sitio de Froufe

The house at "Sítio de Froufe" is located in Lugar de Froufe, in the parish of S. Miguel, between the two rivers in the municipality of Ponte da Barca, geographically within the territory of the Peneda-Gerês National Park. What is now "Sítio de Froufe" was for many years used as a shelter for animals and storage for agricultural products. The fully restored house, built of stone and wood, has two floors: downstairs, 2 double bedrooms and 1 bathroom; upstairs, a living room/equipped kitchen. It can accommodate 4 people, but the living room has 2 sofa beds measuring 110x190 cm, which could accommodate, for example, 2 children, but this is always subject to availability.
Both floors are equipped with air conditioning, internet, and cable TV service, the latter only in the living room/kitchen.
Outside, you can enjoy the private pool and surrounding natural area, where, among other things, you can have a barbecue to the sound of the Froufe River and all of nature in its raw state. A 5-minute walk will take you to the Froufe lagoons and the town centre. It's a 10-minute drive to the villages of Ermida and Germil or the municipal seat.
Nearby, within a 15-20 minute drive, are the reservoir, the castle and granaries of Alto Lindoso, the village of Soajo, or the hot springs of the Rio Caldo in Spain. Approximately 30 minutes from Viana do Castelo or Braga, and 1 hour from Porto and the airport.
