We were all really impressed with this property for the price it was really excellent value. The owner was extremely helpful and welcoming. The property is amazingly well supplied with everything you could need. It is close to the city centre, but also within easy reach of the beaches like Roker. It may not be the most picturesque part of Sunderland but the neighbours were also very pleasant and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to book this again.

Hi, we're RJS Northeast Limited, based here in the North East, and we love sharing this part of the country with visitors. Sunderland is such a great base — close to the coast at Roker, easy transport links, and genuinely friendly locals.

We've hosted guests here for 1 year and really enjoy helping people settle in quickly, giving local recommendations, and making sure everything's spotless and easy. Whether you're here for work, a family visit, or exploring the region, we want your stay to feel comfortable and hassle-free — and we're always just a message away if you need anything during your stay.

Why they chose this property

We chose to host in Sunderland because it offers such a great mix — a proper coastal city feel with Roker Beach just minutes away, but also easy access into the city centre and beyond. The area has a real character to it: the seafront, the historic streets, the vibrant cafés and shopping districts, and of course the Stadium of Light for match days. We appreciate the passion Sunderland fans bring to the city — it's part of what makes the North East special.

What makes this property unique

What makes this bungalow stand out is that it's all on one level — no stairs to navigate, which makes it a genuinely easy, comfortable stay for guests of any age or mobility. Unlike a lot of Sunderland's flats and terraced houses, you get real privacy here, with the whole bungalow to yourselves for the length of your stay.

It's also set up well for mixed groups — the master bedroom is bright and spacious with a king-size bed, while the second bedroom includes its own desk and chair, making it ideal for a solo traveller, a couple with different schedules, or anyone needing a quiet spot to work remotely.

We've thought about the small details too — a fully equipped kitchen so you can cook properly rather than relying on takeaways, fresh towels and premium bedding, and everyday essentials like an iron, hoover, and a first aid kit already provided, so you're not caught out mid-stay.
