This beautiful log home was just perfect for our family get together. All the conveniences of home were met. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook many of our meals there...pots, pans, utensils, grill, coffeemaker & Keurig, washer & dryer. I had wanted an area where we could all gather in one place and be able to spill out on to a deck. This house did that. It felt so remote but yet minutes from Winter Park/Fraser. Thank you, Richards, for sharing your home. Lots of wonderful memories were made there.

Perfect cozy cabin with stunning views!

This cabin is the perfect place for a getaway in the mountains for a ski trip or just to enjoy the Colorado landscape. Eric had the house thoughtfully set up for guests and comfortable for a large group of people. The cabin is in a great location, and we easily explored the surrounding area. Not far from Winter Park Ski Resort, Hot Sulphur Springs, Grand Lake and Rocky Mtn. National Park. Highly recommend this place, all of our out-of-town friends couldn't stop raving about the cabin and the views!

Pictures don't do it justice!

This property was the perfect size for our family trip. We had three families coming together, the multiple living rooms made it easy to be able to be together and have time away as well. Proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake, and Winter Park made it a great place to show off my home state to the rest of my family. All in all, a great place to say. Eric was an excellent host.

Beautiful cabin on top of the mountain

Family of 8 stayed here for 4 nights. Beautiful log home with stunning views! Owner was very good to communicate with and very helpful. Plenty of room and comfortable beds. Seen mule deer and a bear from the cabin. Also seen 2 more bear not far from the cabin. Loved it and will definitely be back when staying in the area again. Thank you

Amazing home with amazing views

This was the perfect house for our group. Plenty of parking along with plenty of sleeping space. Yes, you need AWD to get up the mountain to this home. The further you drive up the mountain the better the views. And this home is at the top! The space in and around the kitchen is great for entertaining along with a great man cave in the basement.

Great getaway!

The property was beautiful! We saw a moose walk right past the house in the deep snow. Loved the wood burning stove. One of the upstairs bunk beds was a squeaky (the only constructive criticism I could find). Would definitely consider coming back! Thanks Eric.

One Week At Top of the Mountain Lodge

We very much enjoyed our family vacation stay. There was plenty of space to accommodate 8 people, both together time and alone times. The lodge was well stocked with dishes and kitchen essentials. It was a great location for day trips to Granby/Grand Lake, Breckenridge, Leadville and Rocky Mountain National Park. It is close to shopping, dining and other activities in Fraser/Winter Park. Note that there is not cable TV available as listed. TVs and internet are available for your streaming services.

Excellent house with spectacular views

Great property! Everything we could think of was provided. We were on a ski trip to Winter Park, the resort is less than 30 minute drive away. Extremely cold and windy week, the house was nice and warm. Views are exquisite. Log house, comfortable bedrooms and kitchen, lots of extra space on all three levels. Secluded location. It can be hard to reach the house and get out in a snowstorm, but the host arranges timely plowing services for the driveway, and the county roads are well-maintained. In winter walking around is limited to the roads, but our dogs did not seem to mind. The host always responds quickly to all concerns. Thank you, Eric!

Awesome mountain getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful mountain cabin. There were 12 of us, mostly adults and a couple doggo’s. The layout of the cabin is great. Main level master bedroom with attached bathroom as well as a half bath. Master bedroom was large with a very comfortable king sized bed. Two bedrooms in the basement (king and Queen) were also very comfortable and had another full bath. The loft is great for kids. The bunk beds and pull out couch weren’t very comfortable for the adults but the kid didn’t mind. Kitchen was well stocked with almost everything we needed to cook with, although we relied on the very nice French presses (yes, 2!) for coffee as there wasn’t a drip machine we could find. The Keurig was available as well but we brought coffee and enjoyed the French press instead. Plenty of silverware, some spices, lots of casserole dishes, pots and pans, mugs, cups and plates. Dishwasher worked great. Oven and stove are nice. It was even warm enough to grill and they provided an additional full tank of propane to use- we were very grateful for that as the tank on the grill was empty. The view from the deck was incredible and the front yard had enough snow to make a sledding track. Lots of fun!We had an issue upon arrival and the property manager was quick to respond and helped get it fixed as promptly as possible. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for helping us make wonderful memories at your mountain getaway.

Family reunion

Great property! We had planned lighted bocci ball and horseshoe tournaments for evenings but were unable to play due to county regulations of NO OUTDOOR GAMES AFTER 7 pm. Or any music on deck after 7. Very strict noise regulations for a vacation property. I feel like the county regulations about quiet time 7 pm to 7 am should have been disclosed prior to our arrival. That is the only flaw in this otherwise perfect home in an absolutely perfect area . 10 pm is more typical for quiet hour start. In summer it’s not even dark at 7. In winter it wouldn’t have been a problem.

Great View!

Our family of 11 (3 months to 79 years!) enjoyed our one week family reunion at Eric and Angela’s beautiful new home. Eric quickly responded when we had questions. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking our meals. We really appreciated having a baby pack ‘n play available for use. The roads around the home were great for quiet morning walks. Gorgeous views! We saw many deer and even a bear in the distance on our last morning. August weather couldn’t have been nicer. Crisp evenings and 70’s during the day. Great for having the windows open to enjoy the mountain air. Only had a couple things keeping us from giving a 5-star rating. Because we only had two children in our group, the upstairs bunk beds were uncomfortable for the adults who had to sleep on them. They would be perfectly fine for children or teens. The pull out couch in the loft was surprisingly comfortable. We would love to return in the future to see how the landscaping around the house develops over time. The nearby towns of Granby, Fraser and Winter Park offered plenty of shopping, activities and restaurants for our group with diverse tastes. But our favorite activity was sitting on the deck enjoying the view with a book or a cup of coffee.

Floridians’ Dream Getaway!

Our stay was a truly magical winter vacation! The listing and photos accurately capture the stunning views surrounding the house—absolutely breathtaking. Coming from Florida, waking up to snow every day was a fun experience! The location is fantastic, with easy access to groceries, skiing, snowmobiling, and everything we needed. The house itself is spacious and thoughtfully laid out, making it perfect for a comfortable stay. Plus, the host was incredibly communicative and helpful throughout our visit. Perfect!!!

We booked this as a family vacation for spring break. Eric was an amazing host. He answered all questions quickly. Gave us places to shop and restaurants to try. (Randy's and Hernando's were very good). The house was more beautiful in person. Photos don't do it enough justice!!! The mountain views look unreal. Literally breathtaking. The house was loaded with enough toys and activities to keep the kids busy without having to go out, but the location is about 20 mins max from any activity if you choose to explore the area. I cannot say enough good things about this house and host!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

We are a young family who built this awesome home. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. My favorite thing to do in this cabin is watch the sunrise with a hot cup of coffee. From the same chair I can watch the sunset with a beer.

Why they chose this property

We shopped all over the Fraser valley for the right lot. After a long search, the right opportunity came along. We are amazed how much the view changed(for the better), after we built the home. We love to hike and bike and ski and fish and hunt in this area of Colorado.

What makes this property unique

If you have kids or Grand kids, this home is for you. We built this home with our 2 young sons in mind. The loft with toys, the bunk beds, the hiding spaces, and the larger lot gives kids the opportunity to be kids. The proximity to everything makes this the IDEAL home for any season.

During the winter we highly recommend you drive an all wheel drive car or 4 wheel drive equipped car. The county does a good job of keeping the roads clear, but ice and drifting snow can occur.
