This is a lovely spacious flat in a pretty location. The dishwasher contained unwashed items and the bathroom bins were not emptied but otherwise everything was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. This is a basement flat and there seems to be a bit of a damp problem which they are doing their best to deal with. Some of the paint is flaking off of the walls in places and there was a dehumidifier. This was not a problem for a summer stay and I couldn’t comment on how this would be at other times of the year. The main problem is the mobile and internet connection which also affects the television. There is no mobile phone coverage in the flat and you have to go out to the street to pick up a connection. The WiFi works through a MiFi box (through a mobile phone connection) and given there is no mobile phone connection in the flat, this is always going to be difficult. During our stay it was not working at all but a previous review on cottages dot com said the WiFi was up and down. As the television works through the WiFi, this was also not working for us. A proper broadband connection needs fitting. We only stayed one night as we wanted WiFi and a working television but if this is not a requirement then a great holiday could be had in this property.
