We stayed in Clavering Hall as a group of 14 friends looking for a peaceful weekend cooking, hanging out and taking time away from normal life. We had a wonderful weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed how spacious the house was - the bedrooms are amazing (no bad ones!) and we particularly loved the orange living room which is huge and cosy. The whole house is well-stocked for 14 people (which is often not the case) and we adored being able to use the garden in the sunshine. The only negatives would be unclear instructions for check in - we accidentally went through the neighbours front garden which they were unhappy about, and the key box code wasn’t given to us at arrival. For the price, I doubt you could find a better place to stay with a big group! We’re considering coming back next year :)

Great property

A brilliant property perfect for our group of 13 friends for a long weekend in the sunshine! We enjoyed the ample living space and comfy beds and lovely outdoor space. The house is generally very well equipped, but strangely only one tea towel and no oven gloves are provided (we questioned this but apparently that’s what they provide), so if you’re planning on cooking at the property do bring your own! Tea towels/oven gloves would be an easy fix making the kitchen much more usable! One thing I imagine you’re aware of already, but there is a wasp nest in the outside wall of the bathroom at the top of the main stairs, if the window was open wasps would fly in which wasn’t ideal, so might want to sort that!
