Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. External utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Sitting-out area with garden furniture. Garden (shared with other properties on-site). On road parking. No smoking.. This lovely two-bedroom cottage lies in the World Heritiage Site of Darley Abbey, just a few yards from the watermill and Darley Park. Beautifully restored, this quaint cottage was built in 1793, is Grade II listed and is full of charm and character. There is an open plan, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and log effect electric fire, seating and Smart TV. Accessed via a spiral staircase, the first floor offers a single bedroom and bathroom, with a second spiral staircase to the double bedroom. Please note that the stairs in this cottage are narrow and steep. Outside is an external utility shed area with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Guests also have use of the small garden area behind the sheds of West Row, or can sit in the beautiful courtyard at the rear of the cottage and enjoy the views of the river.
The location is perfect for exploring beautiful Darley Abbey, and this charming cottage is just a stone’s throw away from the village’s popular restaurant, as well as a hidden wine bar and café in the picturesque courtyard. Or visit the local pub just a very short walk from the cottage. Darley Abbey is a village within the city of Derby, only a 30-minute walk away through the scenic park.
