Our group had an excellent time! We can’t say enough about how great Whit was. He was available to answer all of our questions and had great ideas. He has a binder with everything you need to know in it. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The groundskeeper, Chef Vlad, and our tour guide Simone, were all exceptional. I will be going back to this same property and I highly recommend it!

We absolutely loved our stay at this property! The host was very communicative and helpful leading up to and throughout our stay. The beautiful home design and furnishings made for a comfortable place to spend time together and relax after a long day of playing in the sun. We loved cooking in the well stocked kitchen and eating at the dining room table that had enough seating for everyone in the group. Every bedroom has an adjoining bathroom. The kids and adults loved the hot tub and pool. The views from almost every area of the house inside and out are stunning! The location was great with easy access to restaurants and grocery stores. We can't recommend this home enough!

Great stay

We stayed in the property for over a week. 6 adults, 2 children, and one baby. Plenty of space for everyone and the view can't be beat. Owner is very communicative and thorough in the walk through process. You don't need 4x4 to get to the house, but when it's wet and rainy it makes things a lot easier.It's a bit of a haul from the road up to the actual house.Tons of activities within a 15-30 minute drive with Dominical being so close by. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well.Honestly, the best part of the trip was the support from Simone and Vlad. Simone helped coordinate the majority of the activities and lead the snorkeling excursion. She was extremely helpful and flexible and the attention to our group during the outing was outstanding. The packed food for bfast and lunch was delicious. She is very knowledgeable about the area and both Simone and her crew spent a ton of time finding all the different animals to show us. They also went out of their way to help entertain the baby when he got fussy.With so many young kids, eating out each night was a difficult endeavor. Fortunately Chef Vlad came to the rescue! The convenience of being able to come home to a delicious meal and not have to shop, cook, or clean up afterwards is what truly makes this such an amazing vacation. All of the meals were cooked and presented to perfection. Our kids enjoyed it so much that they chose to sit at the bar and watch him cook. Highly recommend!!!

Stunning stay for a ladies trip!

There is not one detail that has been overlooked. This house was more than equipped for our group of 9 ladies to have a great time in Uvita! Whit was very responsive and had excellent communication. We utilized Simone, the house concierge and also Chef Vlad to prepare amazing meals for each evening. When Mother Nature didn't go along with our plans, we still had a fabulous time hanging around the villa with our group playing games, soaking in the hot tub or just lounging & socializing. Highly recommend and we will most definitely be back!

We had a lovely family vacation and this home was perfect for our group of 9. Lots of room to spread out. After days of hiking and sightseeing, it was perfect to come back to the open air pool and hot tub; especially in rainy season, the covered area was enjoyable. Whitney was easy to reach with any needs. We had a hired Chef and he had plenty of work area to prepare the meals. Thank you Whitney for sharing the home! If we were to come to Uvita again, we'd repeat our stay.

We had a marvelous time here. The location is great: Pacific views and the sound of the forest which starts right behind the house. Pristine playa hermosa is just minutes away by car. There are several surprisingly good restaurants nearby, just ask Whit. The house itself is well designed. The kitchen is fully equipped and everything is in spotless condition. The master bed is comfy; the outdoor shower is a nice feature. We also liked the soundsystem that connects easily to any smartphone. Whit has good suggestions on things to do in the area. But it is also great to relax on the deck with a book or to just watch the birds.

Amazing stay for large family gathering

Among premium properties in Uvita, this one stands apart. It is a unique layout with many thoughtful details included, situated on a steep slope above Uvita with views of the ocean and surrounding nature that exceed photos in beauty and grandeur. You enter the house from above with the primary living area on the upper level, and kitchen and dining area on lower level (game room is actually one level below that). Each bedroom (three up, two down) has its own bathroom, and each has its own special feature (eg, big tub, open air shower, private reading patio, direct access to hot tub patio, etc.). The kitchen is quite impressive with a true commercial-grade range and super-stocked with dishes and appliances. AC, hot water, and laundry were also top-of-the-line, making our stay very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were true to form compared to the photos and very refreshing day or night, even after a day at the beach.Whit is the host, owner, and designer of the property—an ex-pat who has made this property a passion project. He lives locally and is fully invested—he also personally oversees issues that arise on the property, even though others help with the property management. Always reachable. We came as a group of 12, including adults and children ages 8 months to 14 years. I think our younger children gave Whit some initial cause for concern. He explained everything clearly and in detail, and everything was A-OK for young kids there. Would enjoy staying again.

Property is absolutely amazing.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Thai. Place is fabulous stocked with all the must haves. Whit was very accommodating meeting us the night of the arrival to do a walk through and ask any questions. Very helpful on sites to visit. The pool was fantastic as well. Only concern was the driveway to the house. Our first trip up to the house was around 9:30 pm, although the map Whit provided was great, the driveway was a bit concerning. Once we accomplished it the rest of the stay it wasn't as bad as the first night in the dark. Luis is on the property 24 hours a day for security. We had absolutely no issues and were never concerned for our safety. Overall it was a great vacation. We traveled with our kids who are 20 and 24 and they both rated our trip at 8/10. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with a great view this is the home for you.

This property is top notch! If you’re looking for a great location, great view and quality accommodation, this is it. Whitney is an excellent host. Was extremely responsive and helpful for months in advance of our trip and throughout our stay. He gave great tips and suggestions for excursions and recommended the most wonderful Chef (Vladimir). He cooked many meals for us (breakfasts and dinners for us, but he will cook 3 meals a day if requested), including our fresh catch from a wildly successful fishing excursion. It was 5 star meals every time. Uvita is a wonderful little town and easily accessible to fishing, snorkeling, rainforest excursions, beaches, waterfalls and much more. The property is perfect for large family or group of friends. Plenty of room for gathering together and alone time if needed. The outdoor pool/bar/hot tub/sunken seating area has a fantastic view and is the most wonderful place to wake up to hear the howler monkeys and birds, drink coffee, lounge your day away and/or wind down with a glass of wine, music and glorious sunsets. The house is fully stocked and well appointed. A great grocery store is very close by for anything you may need. Thank you, Whitney, for your wonderful accommodations and all of your help! Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

The listed pictures of this home are great but doesn't give complete justice. This house is spectacular! Our group of 6 couples were completely comfortable. All beds are comfortable, all bedrooms are equipped with ac, beautiful bathrooms, everything you could ask for. This home has multiple common areas which is perfect for the ones who wanted to relax when the others were having a pool party. Property manager, Whitney, is excellent. He gave us great tips as to where to go, when, what to do,etc... He also was quick to respond with any questions or would arrange to have something straightened out quickly..such as the internet/bluetooth connection to the surround sound(our operation error). Perfect for setting the mood of the whole house. To note, we've been coming to this area of CR for over a decade and hands down this has been our most favorite trip mainly due to this home and service. We'll certainly be back! For those of you on a tighter budget, consider adjusting your fund allocation to this property. Comfort & amenities really do make a much better CR experience.

Highly Recommend – We loved it!

Wonderful to walk into a rental, and it’s exactly as it appears on the pictures and described in the listing. It was great to find that the positive reviews were accurate. Except for the one about the beach being 3 minutes away (unless you are a bird) and that one from 2018 that said the kitchen was well stocked. I can say that since the 2018 review, the kitchen is no longer well stocked. I’m somewhat of a gourmet cook and had plans to cook a birthday dinner for my wife and friends, and I didn’t have enough pots or pans. Robert, one of the hosts, saved the day by dropping off some personal cookware. Whitney and Robert are two of the best hosts I have ever experienced. Whitney created a detailed binder with restaurant suggestions and other things to do in and around Uvita. If we had questions that might not already be in the highly detailed binder, Robert was always a call or text away and was very responsive. One thing is for sure, believe Whitney and Robert when they say – you MUST have a 4x4 wheel drive to get up the driveway to the house. They are not exaggerating. The quality construction of the house absorbed interior sounds, and large bedrooms with six adults seemed like were living in separate luxe units. Most of our time was spent in the outdoor area, enjoying the view and the magnificent nature surrounding us. We had a blast with a 5-hour ATV tour with Jungle ATV tours right in Uvita. The suggested Mangrove tour was great as well, and we found a wonderful tour guide for the Manuel Antonio Nature Park, Andre’ with Iguana Tours. Some of the tickets for activities must be purchased online, so check before you head out. There are many things we didn’t have time to do, but we’ll cover all that on our next visit! We will be back!

Uvita, Costa Rica is a hidden gem on the country’s southern Pacific coast, known for its stunning natural beauty, laid-back vibe, and rich biodiversity. Nestled between lush rainforest-covered mountains and the warm Pacific Ocean, it offers a perfect balance of adventure and tranquility—making it a favorite destination for nature lovers, surfers, couples, and families alike.

One of Uvita’s most iconic features is Marino Ballena National Park, home to the famous “Whale Tail”—a naturally formed sandbar visible at low tide that resembles a giant whale’s tail. The park protects coral reefs, mangroves, and migrating humpback whales, which can be seen from July to October and again from December to March. Whale watching tours are a must, as are snorkeling and diving trips to explore vibrant marine life.
