A Home to Relax and Unwind
From the moment you step inside, the house has a relaxed but refined quality that is immediately felt. The hallway and staircase are lined with framed original artworks, setting the tone for a home where creativity and comfort sit side by side. Original Victorian details — including ceiling cornicing in the sitting room — have been preserved alongside contemporary touches throughout.
The sitting room is a generous, light-filled space with a grey tufted sofa, mustard cushions, a yellow louvred-door cabinet, tripod floor lamp, and a wall-mounted flatscreen TV with cable. Room-darkening shades make it easy to settle in for the evening. Two additional study and sitting areas give guests the flexibility to spread out, and the solid oak dining table seating six beneath pendant lighting encourages guests to linger over a meal.
The Layout
Ground floor
The main sitting room features large windows, original artwork, a grey tufted sofa, room-darkening shades, and a wall-mounted flatscreen TV with cable above a rustic wooden media unit. A separate snug with sofa, armchair, and desk works equally well as a reading room or workspace. The open-plan kitchen-diner has white gloss units, oak-effect worktops, a built-in oven, gas hob, extractor hood, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, and kettle. Cooking basics, dishes, silverware, wine glasses, and a baking sheet are provided. The washing machine and drying rack are located here. The solid oak six-seater dining table sits beneath three pendant lights with original artwork on both walls. A private backyard and patio area are accessible from the ground floor.
First floor
A second sitting and study room features a gold-upholstered settee, painted green bookcase, dark wooden desk, and framed original paintings. An antique-style bureau desk with matching stool provides a further workspace.
Bedroom one — double
The main bedroom has white linen, a louvred-door wardrobe, leather armchair, blush-painted chest of drawers, gold-framed mirror, standing dressing mirror, matching bedside lamps, and a framed landscape painting above the headboard.
Bedroom two — double
An upper-floor double with a distressed-finish wardrobe, chest of drawers with shaped mirror, navy Roman blind, matching bedside lamps, and framed artwork. White bedding and towels provided.
Bedroom three — single
A neatly finished single room with a white-painted bed frame, white bedding, framed landscape artwork, bedside shelf with lamp, and a decorative pendant light.
Upper-floor bathroom
A standout feature of the property. Full-height grey marble-effect tiling, a timber-framed rooflight skylight, freestanding bath, walk-in shower with rainfall head and handheld attachment, pedestal basin, large wall mirror, chrome heated towel rail, WC, and slim dark-wood storage cabinet. Original artwork continues the gallery feel throughout.
Communal areas
The hallway and staircase are hung with original artworks. Landings feature a painted green cabinet, sash windows, and a radiator. Please note the property is not suitable for guests with mobility requirements — staircases are steep and there is no disability access.
