Tucked away in the charming village of Rottingdean, this bright and quirky one-bedroom garden cottage is a peaceful coastal retreat. Just a short walk from the village High Street and Rottingdean Beach, it’s perfectly located for enjoying local cafés, pubs and seaside walks. The cottage features a cosy open-plan living space with kitchen area, a comfortable bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower over, and a small private outdoor space to relax. Brighton city centre is also just a short drive.

Rottingdean is one of the most charming coastal villages on the Sussex coast, offering a peaceful seaside atmosphere while still being just a short distance from Brighton.

At the end of the High Street you’ll find Rottingdean Beach — a beautiful spot for coastal walks, swimming in the summer months, or simply enjoying the sea views.

The surrounding South Downs offer wonderful walking routes and scenic countryside, while Brighton’s vibrant city centre, famous pier, restaurants and nightlife are just a short drive or bus ride away.

Rottingdean truly offers the best of both worlds, a relaxed village setting with easy access to the buzz of Brighton.

Regular buses run from the village into Brighton city centre in around 10–15 minutes, making it simple to enjoy the shops, restaurants and attractions without needing a car.

The beach, local pubs, cafés and village shops are all within walking distance of the cottage, making it an ideal base for a relaxing seaside stay.

For those exploring further afield, the South Downs National Park is just a short drive away and offers beautiful countryside walks and views.

The separate bedroom provides a comfortable and restful space to recharge, while the bathroom includes a bath with a shower over, ideal for a relaxing soak or a quick refresh before heading out.

Outside, the cottage benefits from a small private outdoor area just outside the entrance, offering a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink during the warmer months.

Bright, quirky and full of charm, this hidden cottage is a wonderful little retreat tucked away in one of Brighton’s most beautiful nearby villages.

Please note the cottage is accessed via a pedestrian alleyway and cannot be reached directly by car. Parking is available nearby within the village, but guests will need to walk a short distance to the property.

For stays over 2 weeks, we arrange a mid-stay clean to keep the property fresh and comfortable. This will be charged separately, and we’ll be in touch after booking to arrange this with you.

This property is professionally managed. Our team is available Monday–Friday 10am–6pm and weekends 10am–4pm. Messages sent outside of these hours will be responded to the following day.
