About the host
Hosted by Jesse Brekke

We’re Jesse and Debbie Brekke, a Minnesota-based family living in St. Louis Park with our three young kids and our friendly yellow lab. We both work in sales and love spending time outdoors, especially at the lake. Jesse grew up in Eden Prairie and went to Gustavus Adolphus College—he’s a huge Vikings fan who enjoys golf, basketball, and hanging with the kids. Debbie is originally from near Sioux Falls and a proud University of Minnesota grad who loves cooking, decorating, and family adventures.
Our kids (all under 10) are happiest outside—swimming, biking, building sandcastles, and cruising on the pontoon. We created Ideal Landing to be a place where families and friends can relax, recharge, and make memories. We hope you enjoy the lake as much as we do!

Why they chose this property
We’ve been visiting Kimble Lake with friends for over 20 years, and when the chance came to purchase a property here, we knew it was something special. Kimble is truly the perfect-sized lake—ideal for boating, fishing, paddleboarding, beach days, and peaceful loon watching. It offers everything you’d hope for in an Up North getaway.
The community on Kimble Lake is close-knit, friendly, and deeply committed to preserving the lake’s natural beauty. It’s a spring-fed gem and part of the Ossawinnamakee Chain of Lakes, known for clean, clear water. In the spring and summer, you’ll likely spot loon families raising their chicks—please admire them from a respectful distance to help protect this magical part of the lake experience.

What makes this property unique
What makes Ideal Landing truly special is its elevated bluff location, offering breathtaking, panoramic views of Kimble Lake from nearly every room in the home. The gentle elevation creates a unique “bird’s eye” perspective—you can watch the kids playing on the beach, keep an eye on the lake activity, or simply soak in the scenery from the deck or loft. Every time you walk in, the view takes your breath away. It’s a rare vantage point that adds magic to every stay.
