Northumberland's Heritage Coast, complete with castles, miles of sandy beaches, wildlife, and dunes, is only a leisurely 30-minute drive from Cornhill. 40 minutes away is Alnwick, where you can visit a castle and garden from the Norman era. The village has both a post office/shop (stocking most necessities) and a Country House Hotel (The Collingwood Arms) known for its excellent food and drink.
