Casa Saudade, a Home in Madeira

Casa Saudade is a dwelling located in a tranquil urbanisation, in the proximity of Porto Santo beach.

The accommodation has an interior area of approximately 120 m2 and is composed of three bedrooms: a bedroom with a queen-size bed (1.6 x 2.0 m), a bedroom with a double bed (1.5 x 2.0 m) and a bedroom with a single bed (1.2 x 2.0 m). The main bedroom has a private bathroom and there is another common bathroom for the remaining bedrooms.

The house also has a living room with a dining table and a kitchen.

Outside, there is a sitting area where one can appreciate the sunset, a garden area and a barbecue.

There is also an external parking area.

The accommodation is equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, vitroceramic hob, oven, microwave and other kitchen utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and television with international channels, among other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxed stay.



REMARKS

The house has furniture and decorative pieces that are antiques and require careful use. Note that the characteristic odour of antique furniture should not be confused with mould.

Smoking and lighting candles inside the house are not permitted due to fire risk. Pets are also not allowed.

The house has an area reserved for the owners, properly signposted.

Due to the island's climate, insects may unexpectedly occur. To avoid attracting insects, it is important to clean food remnants and keep food well packaged.

Cleaning is done before guests' arrival and there is a weekly maintenance cleaning, which includes changing bed linen and towels.

The accommodation does not have a washing machine for guests, but there are self-service laundries or full-service laundries nearby.



LOCATION

Porto Santo Island is the smallest inhabited island in the Madeira Archipelago. It is connected to Madeira Island by ferry (2h30 travel) and air links to Madeira and some European airports.

Porto Santo Island is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and has an extensive sandy beach of about 9 km, which has been elected as the best beach in Europe.

The high tourist season is during the summer months. In the remaining months, the island is recommended for those seeking a quiet and safe destination, with a beach that can be used whenever weather conditions are favourable, throughout the year.

The property is located 3 km from the airport, 5 km from the port, 2 km from the Porto Santo City centre and 1.1 km from Porto Santo's sandy beach.

About 200 metres away, there are two restaurants and a supermarket at 850 metres.

The property has easy access to the city centre and the main roads to explore the island.



CONDITIONS

1. Parties and behaviours that disturb the peace and well-being of neighbours are not permitted, especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM when neighbourhood noise is prohibited.

2. An online check-in form will be sent to collect essential identification data for check-in, arrival time and mode of transport, which must be submitted by guests at least two days before arrival.

3. For in-person check-in, scheduling is required and the waiting time is 60 minutes, after which a new time slot may be scheduled according to our availability.

4. Guests may be asked to present an identification document upon arrival and provide missing identification data to comply with legal requirements.

5. Any breakages, incidents or cleaning failures must be reported as soon as they are detected so they can be verified and addressed in a timely manner during the stay. Problems reported late with the mere intention of obtaining a refund will not be considered.

6. Guests must inform about allergies, constraints or special needs before or immediately after the booking to verify compliance and take appropriate measures.
