Enjoy a romantic river view and the best Galena has to offer, all right Downtown. This house has four bedrooms, a kitchenette, a full kitchen, two full bathrooms, a great room with 65" TV, bar, front porch and back deck with furniture and grill. Sleeps 10 with sleeper sofa. You don't need your car while you're staying here, since you can walk less than a quarter mile north on main street and be among dozens of restaurants, bars and shops.
Parking is on the street in front of the house. There is no off street parking spaces but most often it is not hard to find a few spots in front.

We had a girls' weekend in Galena. Debra was such an amazing host. She made sure we had everything we needed to make the weekend special and memorable. You can't beat the location, with it being minutes away from all of the shopping and fun. The house was spacious, and everyone had their own space. The space was clean and tidy. Highly recommend this location for a weekend getaway!

Was nice to be so close to downtown. Parking was only an issue when we first arrived. We had to unload in the no parking area, park somewhere else, then wait for the parking to open up. Was nice to be able to leave the cars there during our stay. Wish it could have been cooler upstairs. Location to downtown is perfect! Plenty of room for our family of 7! Just wish check in day was a lower price since you’re not able to check in until 3pm. Host was very nice!

We picked this specific property because of its location. We had a very short walk to "inside" the gates of Galena. It was a perfect spot for a quick girls trip to do some shopping, relaxing, and reconnecting. The property layout was a little confusing but our wonderful host quickly helped us understand what the lay out was and where we could all sleep. It was also nice to have coffee and ice already there for us to use. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Would stay here again!

Girls trip. Location was great. House had everything we needed. 9 of us stayed and plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, etc. Towel rack kept falling off in the downstairs bathroom so we fixed that multiple times. Also the stools behind the bar area in the living room are falling apart. Might want to tighten the screws on all of them. Parking out front was nice. We didn’t use any of the dishes or things like that so can’t share details on those. Basically slept and showered. But thought the place could definitely use a good cleaning. Chatted with owner on that. Fun weekend in Galena.

The house was very cute and clean. We had everything we needed for our stay. It was a very easy walk to downtown so we didn't have to drive anywhere after we arrived. I would stay again if I revisit Galena.

Born and raised near Galena, I moved to Chicago, but then rediscovered the beauty of Galena later in life. Eventually I made my permanent home here. I love outdoor sports and found a gem of a playground for outdoor sports in the greater Galena area. Because of its beautiful rolling terrain and the river that runs through it, Galena is a great destination to bike, paddle, run, ski and hike. I can share my knowledge of all outdoor places to go and the hidden jewels around the area. Just ask me.
I've been a rental host for Fever River View rentals since 2017 and I manage a few properties. I do this for a living and so it's my priority to ensure that you have a comfortable stay and that you're completely happy, when you've chosen my homes.

Why they chose this property

My home is newly remodeled and in an ideal location. On the south end of Main street (quiet end that is), and less than a block from downtown shops, bike path, and boat landing. The bonus is a gorgeous river view. The river is located just across the street.

What makes this property unique

What makes Fever River View is unique is that you can sit on the rockers on the porch with a lovely view of the Galena river, or you may sit on a large new back deck and grill out. It's the only home on main street that has both options and yet is in close walking distance to everything downtown. Another benefit, is that it's located on the quiet end of main street, just far enough away from the loud bars and nightlife.
