Cliff at Lyons is a luxury countryside retreat in Kildare.Today the walled estate comprises a beautifully restored collection of rooms and cottages in historic, stone buildings, surrounding the former mill, courtyard and dovecote. Located just 30 minutes from Dublin city and Dublin Airport, the estate offers countryside tranquillity and period character in equal measure.

Our boutique Kildare accommodation is home to both The Well in the Garden Spa and to our outdoor wellness retreat, Village Thermal, situated in the heart of the village’s extensive gardens.

At the heart of the Cliff at Lyons, Shackleton Mill Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience in a spectacular setting. An exceptional place to enjoy lunch or dinner in Kildare, here you’ll enjoy refined seasonal food, much sourced directly from the estates bountiful gardens.

Set at the heart of the Cliff at Lyons estate is Rhode Island cottage. Featuring enchanting lily pond views, this story-book two bedroom cottage offers guests a truly unique space to relax and enjoy everything Cliff at Lyons has to offer. Accessed through a private entrance, the cottage opens up to an impressive formal lounge with stunning views of our idyllic lily pond. With silk textures, painted wood panelling, stone floors, and soft carpeting throughout, decor is country classic keeping in-style with plush textiles and a faux fireplace.

Gather and enjoy the formal dining room, perfect for entertaining. Also on the ground floor you will find an adorable cottage kitchen enhanced with modern appliances. To the rear of the cottage, savour a cute terrace complete with mature plantings and comfortable seating. As you make your way upstairs, you will find two bedrooms furnished with large four-poster beds. These stunning bedrooms feature Parisian-inspired design complete with private en-suite bathrooms and dual-aspect views of both the lily pond and the canal.
