It is at the heart of Dublin's Silicon Dock with both Airbnb & Facebook Irish Headquarters on Hanover Quay and Google is close-by. Gourmet shops, bustling cafés and an infinite choice of dining options are on the doorstep.
Access to the historic O'Connell Street where the 1916 uprising and battle for independence took place is only a 20 minute straight walk along the beautiful River Liffey, as is the Grafton Street shopping district and the famous Temple Bar tourist area of bars and restaurants.
The 3 Arena, the Aviva Stadium, and the Bord Gais Theatre are close by, with the stupendous hop-on / hop-off Dublin bus and City bus tours picking up and dropping back off on Hanover Quay - definitely the best way to see all the highlights Dublin when on a short visit - for just €15 pp.
Getting Around:
All the public transport options are close by. The area is well served by buses, the Luas is accessible across the river (10 minutes walk) and the DART local train service is close by. It's a leisurely stroll to many of the popular Dublin attractions.
