The best host we have ever had, Bernadette guided our arrival process seamlessly and was extremely responsive. The apartment had every amenity needed and all in perfect working order. Cozy, welcoming, and spotlessly clean. We were perfectly at home. The location was wonderful with access to all the best things of Dublin. We felt so safe and the gated apartment made us feel even more so.I highly recommend this gem!

Great place & location!
The flat was spacious and comfortable, The location worked so well for us!
We loved this place, it was situated in an area with restaurants, grocery store, and an easy walk to most places! It was clean and nicely furnished! Would definitely stay here on future trips!
Bernadette’s place is the perfect home base for a visit to Dublin. It is comfortable, cute and well appointed. Also it’s walking distance from all the main attractions. Bernadette was very welcoming and helpful. We will be back!
We had a wonderful stay. Great location. Very comfortable w 3 adults. Bernadette even had milk and juice for us. Close to everything. Building was nice. Quiet.
Enjoyed watching the birds as well.
Great location with access to activities and necessities
My husband and I and a friend couple spent a week in Dublin prior to heading to Scotland for The Open. Great location within walking distance of sights, activities, restaurants (wonderful area practically across the street near the Jameson Distillery), and sundries. Host was great at communicating pre-trip and during as needed. We had a great experience here!

Homey apartment, great location, friendly host!
As it's in an apartment complex ("The Hardwick"), it was a little hard to find the right place, but Bernadette is a terrific host. She met us at the apartment (even when we arrived an hour later than planned), gave us an orientation, and provided everything we needed for a great 3-night stay in Dublin.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hardwicke apartment. While we were North of the Liffey, location was close to all amenities and was a nice quiet neighborhood. The apartment was very clean and was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. Communication with the Property Manager was excellent. Instructions were very thorough and detailed. it was definitely a home away from home and we would absolutely stay here again.

Holiday getawa
Bernadette's flat is a cozy spot. Just right for the 4 of us on holiday.
Easy distance to the local markets; not far from area attractions. We had a great time exploring the area.
Bernadette is a gracious hostess. She was thorough in her briefing before we arrived - helped us with directions and getting around town - and when we arrived - how things operated in the apartment.
If we come back to Dublin, we would love to stay here again.
Dublin itself is of course a fun place to visit but it's hard to get a good night's sleep in the Temple Bar District but this full size two-bedroom Apartment will not be a problem at night, as it's located just a 10-12 min walk or take a bus or tram for even quicker transport. The comfort of this apartment my wife and I enjoyed was so appreciated as well as top notch communication from the owner Burnadette. Her response time is unmatched! Two beautiful bedrooms, living room with two recliners & apple TV, kitchen with everything you need to cook is such a plus when away from home. My wife and I will not hesitate to rent this Apartment again if we return to Dublin.
What a lovely, comfortable place to call home in Dublin. Bernadette emailed great instructions with photos which were very helpful. The apartment is sun-filled and a welcome respite after a long day of sightseeing. We appreciated the tea, coffee, juice, and other extras left in the kitchen. We felt very safe and it was quiet in the evening. Thank you so much!

Well located flat just outside Dublin city center.
My mom and I did a holiday weekend in Dublin, and this flat was perfect for our needs. Bernadette's flat is located in Smithfield, a neighborhood just past the hecticness of city center. We took the Luas tram everywhere; there is a stop just four blocks away. The apartment was clean, warm and added bonus to be on the top floor (with elevator). While the neighborhood appeared plenty safe, the complex is gated as well for added security. Would stay here again!

Perfect stay in Dublin
The property was amazing! Had everything you could want with a great location just north of the City Centre. Nice and quiet neighborhood. The owner was so helpful with information and so easy to communicate with. She allowed us to drop our bags off at the apartment after we landed at the airport so we could start sight seeing right away! It was such a beautiful apartment and decorated immaculately! We’ve stayed in several VRBO properties in both the UK and the USA and they have all been great, but this one was the best!

Stellar place to stay!
Very friendly owner who obviously takes pride in her property. The apartment was spotless with a lot of room. One of the great things about this flat is that we were able to walk to everything that we wanted to do with the exception of the Dublin Zoo, which was slightly out of town. Hop On - Hop Off took us there though. Felt safe in the neighbourhood while walking around with our two young kids. Perfect 10!

Lovely apartment
Lovely newly decorated apartment in a secure block within walking distance to most attractions in Dublin. The apartment was perfect for the 3 of us. Plenty of room. Though we never meet Bernadette we had plenty of helpful emails and Bernadette sent her son's girlfriend to open up and show us around the apartment and give us a few tips. Plenty of restaurants, pubs and supermarket nearby. It was great to have onsite parking and though we had a car we didn't need while in Dublin. Highly recommended.

Loved it!
This apartment was shared by my mother and I. The location was perfect, could walk everywhere. We did walk back from the jail as well. Little longer but good. The brightness of the apartment with 2 big windows on a corner was wonderful. The balcony and view were great to have. Enjoyed the fireplace when playing our games in the evening. This apartment is a must when looking for accommodation in Dublin, don't bother looking any further.

Lovely apartment in the city.
Many pluses. Bernadette is an amazing host and went far out of her way to make us comfortable during a rare heat wave. The apartment has easy access to public transport and a cute grocery store and is an easy walk to downtown. The kitchen is well equipped if you cook. Our only concerns were the nighttime noise, as it is a family complex in the city, and the mattresses and pillows are harder than most Americans are used to, which is common all over Europe. Amazing host. Great location. Thank you Bernadette!
My friend and I had planned this trip nearly a full year ahead and were incredibly excited for it. We did very little actual research in terms of the location of everything but genuinely lucked out by booking this place. Its location is phenomenal, within a very easy walking distance to the temple bar side of Dublin with many great pubs even closer. Bernadette was an incredible host who was very informative and great at responding to any questions we had including making suggestions for day trips that we never would have even known about otherwise. The place itself was immaculate, bedrooms were very nice and the living room area was a great size with all the amenities if you chose to cook some meals yourself. I cannot stress enough how incredible of a time myself and my friend had and to both our surprises how much of a role this place played in enhancing our experiences.

Lovely clean apartment within walking distance of Dublin city center
Initial reaction when entering the apartment was that the pictures did not do it justice; the actual apartment felt much better than I expected (and very clean). It was well situated, a nice supermarket a short walk away and about 10 minutes walk to get to the center of Dublin/River Liffey. The apartment was well equipped, the only thing we missed (or couldn't find) was a board to cut bread on, but that was easily solved by using a plate. Bernadette was extremely helpful and patient, both in all e-mail conversations prior to arriving and then showing us round the apartment when we arrived. The kitchen had a good store cupboard with many basic necessities in it such as salt, oil tea, etc. All in all, a lovely stay!

Fantastic!!!
The Moran's beautiful apartment is cozy, spotless clean, warm ( we went in February!) and accessible to many restaurants, bars, grocery shopping and basic fun! It is far away enough from Temple Bar and other "loud fun" places, but you can walk there easy enough or hop on a bus or an Uber taxi that served us quite well. The apartment has a wonderful kitchen. laundry facilities and nice shower. A gas fireplace is great for ambience as well as keeping you toasty! We had a wonderful time not only in Dublin itself, but in that gorgeous apartment! Being there really added to the specialness ( is that a word? lol) of the whole trip! Also for those who go in the summer, there is a neat balcony that overlooks the neighborhood. We HIGHLY recommend staying here!!! You will love it!!! PS. It is really safe, too!

About the host
Hosted by Bernadette
We have owned this lovely apartment since 1996 and rented it on a long term basis up until 2014. At that point we had the property fully renovated and started renting on HomeAway (VRBO). Presently we use it purely for the enjoyment of our family and friends, but to cover our maintenance costs we let it out to short term guests for a maximum of 30 nights in the year.
Why they chose this property
Our apartment is just around the corner from Smithfield Square. This is the home of the Old Jameson Distillery, and one of the stops on the Hop on/Hop Off Bus Tours. It's also the location of The Cobblestone Pub, one of the best places for a "pint of the black stuff"! The Hardwicke apartments are one block North of this well known Square, but we have the advantage of a quieter neighbourhood. We are also ideally placed between LUAS stops on both the Red and the Green Lines. And as if all that wasn't enough reason to choose our property, we now have a Lidl supermarket just 2-3 minutes walk away!
What makes this property unique
We allow guests to arrive and depart at whatever time of the day or night that suits themselves. We arrange self check in, and leave a welcome pack to help you settle in! We operate a flexible cancellation policy. Cancel at least 14 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount that you've paid. 7 and 14 days before check-in, you'll get back 50%. Unfortunately for cancellations less than 7 days we are unable to provide a refund
