Cliff at Lyons is a luxury countryside retreat in Kildare.Today the walled estate comprises a beautifully restored collection of rooms and cottages in historic, stone buildings, surrounding the former mill, courtyard and dovecote. Located just 30 minutes from Dublin city and Dublin Airport, the estate offers countryside tranquillity and period character in equal measure.

At the heart of the Cliff at Lyons, Shackleton Mill Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience in a spectacular setting. An exceptional place to enjoy lunch or dinner in Kildare, here you’ll enjoy refined seasonal food, much sourced directly from the estates bountiful gardens.

Set at the heart of the estate, the enchanting Turret’s Cottage offers guests a picturesque oasis from which to enjoy everything Cliff at Lyons has to offer. The custom Dutch half-door opens into an open-plan kitchen and dining room fitted with modern appliances and seating for four guests. As you move to the rear of the house, you are greeted with an adorable sitting room complete with access to the estate’s manicured rose garden. A hidden LCD TV is perfect for curling up on the beautiful sofa and watching a movie, or the cottage’s library always has a good book with which to sink into the warm furnishings.

Through a hidden staircase, the upstairs offers two double bedrooms along with the cottage’s main bathroom. Both bedrooms feature picturebook windows, ensuring you have an opportunity to enjoy the stunning local surroundings. Perfect for families, friends or couples.
