Once part of a vast royal hunting chase owned by the Crown, this unique setting carries centuries of history, later transformed in the early 19th century by industrialist John Knight. Duredon itself was established as the estate’s principal dairy farm, prized for its sunny south-facing position and lush, fertile grazing land—qualities that still define its charm today.
The property now offers generous and flexible accommodation for up to 18 guests across nine beautifully appointed bedrooms. Six bedrooms are located within the main house, while a further three are set in the adjoining courtyard, providing an ideal balance of togetherness and privacy for larger groups. Each space is thoughtfully prepared to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay.
At the heart of the home, you’ll find a spacious and welcoming kitchen alongside a dedicated catering kitchen—perfect for hosting everything from casual family meals to special celebrations with a private chef. The elegant dining area comfortably seats all 18 guests, creating the perfect setting for memorable shared meals and lively conversation.
Outside, Duredon is surrounded by expansive, beautifully maintained gardens that invite you to unwind and reconnect with nature. Whether you’re enjoying a peaceful morning coffee, an afternoon stroll, or an evening under the stars, the grounds provide a tranquil escape in an unspoiled countryside setting.
Combining historic character with generous space and modern comforts, Duredon offers a truly special retreat—ideal for family gatherings, celebrations, or simply escaping to the timeless beauty of Exmoor.
