An Italian Modernist exterior and a super-chic interior
Combine to make magic near the central district of Brera!
Set within an architecturally significant residential building designed in 1968 by trailblazing Milanese modernist architect and design legend Marco Zanuso, and stylishly curated by our design partners ArchFlorence as only they know how, we’re shining the spotlight on new Dimora Elvezia, our 2nd apartment in the city of Milano!
One of the very latest Dimora Italia properties to represent our ever-expanding footprint covering wish-list Italian destinations that lie beyond our base in Venice, the divine Dimora Elvezia sleeps 4 with every comfort at your fingertips, and friendly support from our local Concierge to ensure your stay is perfetto!
Championing easy lateral living and fabulously positioned in a distinctly upscale district close to arty Brera and fashionable Moscova, this design-led home-from-home faces the 95-acre Parco Sempione* and offers air-conditioning throughout its bright and south-facing accommodation.
Immersed in a locale where culture, design, high-end shopping and gastronomy all mingle together ‘alla Milanese’, and within a gentle stroll of some of the city’s most celebrated landmarks and locations – from the Arco della Pace (Arch of Peace) and vibrant Chinatown, to the Castello Sforzesco (Sforza Castle) and the Milan Duomo (just a little further on!) – the 2-bedroomed accommodation is set on the 2nd floor served by lift and comprises:
The apartment entrance and internal hallway where Phillip Jeffries’ ‘Palm Paradise’ wallcovering in ‘Verde Vista’ makes a dramatic first impression!
A spacious and beautifully presented open-plan sitting room / dining room / kitchen area showcasing a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows which flood the room with sunny optimism and light and open onto a furnished circular terrace looking towards the Arena Civica (the terraces are one of the building’s most distinctive signature features – absolutely the place to be for catching some well-earned summer rays!), while a splendidly coffered ceiling serves to draw the eye upwards and dark polished oak flooring provides a stylish colour contrast
A triptych of vintage Japanese Gyotaku rice paper fish prints and a pair of mounted African impala horns adorn the walls – testaments to the owners’ globe-trotting adventures and appreciation of the eclectic* – while a visually impactful re-interpretation of the 1st-century Roman marble 2-horse sculpture ‘The Biga of the Vatican’ by Italian contemporary artist Luca Pignatelli acts as a focal point above an L-shaped sofa and a pair of ochre velvet chairs... ideal for resting easy for as long as you please!
The streamlined kitchen area with mirrored splashback is well equipped allowing for easy-breezy self-catering, while a marble-topped breakfast / dining table and upholstered stools host 6 guests beneath a pair of elegant copper suspended ceiling lights for intimate dinners ‘in famiglia’
There are 2 charming double en suite bedrooms, each with bespoke fittings...
A truly opulent principal double bedroom with a traditional vibe and soft lighting, furnished with fine fabrics, period artwork and a beautifully upholstered double bed with romantic sepia mural to the rear, and with a pristine luxe en suite bathroom in marble with rain shower and...
A delightfully cosy 2nd double bedroom with a showstopping ‘Green Aura’ wall mirror by talented artisans OOM – handcrafted using 24k gold lustre and ceramic enamels on green glass – set above a pair of well-dressed twin beds (which can be made into a double upon request) and with a sparkling en suite bathroom with rain shower echoing that of the principal bedroom
*The refreshingly verdant epicentre (aka ‘the green lung’) of Milano
**Note that Dimora Elvezia is the baby of long-standing philanthropist Paolo – owner of the remarkable Dimora Orlando in Venice and a close friend of VOV / Dimora Italia’s CEO Filippo!
