About this property
Island estate with pool on Singløya
Singløya offers you a welcome escape from everyday life. As you enter the house, you’re greeted by a large, airy entryway, and your gaze is drawn through the living room and out toward the garden, the pool, and the lake. The light, the view, and the proximity to nature set the mood immediately.
The house has a warm and social atmosphere with large rooms that invite long meals and good conversations. The kitchen is spacious with a large kitchen island and dining area for 12 people. The living room features several cozy nooks with soft sofas and a tiled stove. Right next door is the library with books, a desk, and a cozy sofa nook where you can easily retreat. The house has five large bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
The outdoor areas are what make Singløya special. The garden is large and lush, featuring several seating areas, a sunroom, and a large pool that becomes a natural gathering spot on warm days. There is also a bocce court, a treehouse, and a two-story wooden cabin, making the place just as enjoyable for children as it is for adults. The owner’s interest in art shapes the interior and gives the house character and a unique flair.
The island has many fantastic viewpoints, including Singløsand Beach and the beach in Ekevika. Around the island, you’ll find trails, small lookout points, and over 20 sculptures that make the area feel both peaceful and inspiring. The farm shop sells ice cream, and for the little ones, the wooden cabin is especially exciting to explore.
