Outside, there is an enclosed garden with lawn, patio and seating, a courtyard with furniture, and a non-enclosed front patio with furniture. Sorry, no smoking. Horseshoe Cottage is a great base for exploring Shropshire and the Peak District. Note: Access to the second-floor bedrooms is through a bedroom. Note: A Good Housekeeping Bond of 500 GBP applies. It is very close to the fabulous walking area known as The Roaches, just 4 miles from the pretty village of Rudyard with its lake and water-based activities, or 1 mile walk along the Staffordshire Way to Rudyard Lake. Close by is the Churnet Valley railway and Tittesworth Reservoir with its visitor centre. The market town of Leek is just 5 miles away and a little further is the spa town of Buxton, famous for its warm springs and offers a host of fine restaurants, shops, a fascinating museum and the town is also home to the Buxton Opera House with a wide variety of entertainment. Enjoy a thrilling day at Alton Towers with its rides, water park, spa and gardens, or follow the High Peak, Manifold and Tissington Cycle Trails, visit the lovely market town of Bakewell, or enjoy elegant Chatsworth House, Tatton Park, Capesthorne Hall and Haddon Hall.
