Enjoy your stay at Lake Guntersville in this floating cabin. 1 bedroom with queen bed and fold out couch in the living area provides room for three guests. With electric fireplace and plenty of space to dock your boat or personal watercrafts, there's no need to ever leave the cabin. It's also a great place to watch the sun rise and set as you fish from your own private deck. If you're looking to dine out, Wintzell's Oyster House is only steps away. Sorry no pets are allowed at the property. Please be aware before booking that it may not be the place for anyone with motion sickness. It is also more of a camping experience than a motel stay. The sewage system is a holding tank, like what is used in a camper or RV. It is pumped daily, but there is the chance of some odors as with any self contained unit. Dishes, bath towels, and cooking utensils are provided for your convenience.

Its a great get away. No frills. Our cabin was yellow, not brown, as advertised. You get what you pay for and i would definitely rent again. The toilet lid was very loise and by the 3rd day it wasnt flushing very well. Still, i loved it.

Its not a 5 star hotel. Its a floating cabin. Did have septic smell but bought RV toilet treatment and that helped. We will definitely stay again!! Very relaxing.

Mr. Steve is super nice. The cabin is nice but the marina could use some work. We had a wonderful time. It was quiet. Close to restaurants. Launch for your boat or jet skis. I would do it again. Thanks Mr. Steve.

Perfect Weekend Escape

Floating cabin was an awesome experience. It's in a great location and close to everything you would need but was also secluded and peaceful. There was a bit of a sewer smell and I wouldn't recommend for those who have motion sickness as the cabin would sway when boats occasionally rode by. The cabin also stayed very cool even in summer heat. The deck was shaded until mid morning and gives an awesome view of the sunset.

America’s Birthday celebration

We enjoyed our stay, it was 4th of July week and we were able to see the fire works, perhaps on our next visit we won’t go on a busy boating weekend as we ended up having to do a Dramamine run from the motion sickness, but overall it was a relaxing trip. Oh and the septic smell is a little harsh but we just kept the bathroom door shut. Coffee on the deck overlooking the water was my favorite part. We will return, in the future, probably during the fall.

Terrible- smelled moldy, multiple fans to try to reduce odor, toilet did not flush properly, curtains were old and tattered. Needs a complete renovation and a better cleaning service.

This property is as described. The odor from bathroom is stronger than expected- but understand the need in a RV type situation. The communication with owner was great- with Expedia sending the one key link- I did not like. The owner not know anything about that. In this world sending a link instead of email is not good.

Won’t be returning

After reading listing and reviews I knew to be prepared for camping/rustic experience. But overall it was worse than we anticipated for. Plus side was location, views, hot water, comfy bed. But it looks like no one has stayed in it in a while because it’s was disgusting in some areas. I spilled something and cleaned it up, the floor was completely black. Cobwebs taking over with tons of dirt and dust. It needs a DEEP clean before anyone else stays there. Cabin has potential though

The owner, Steve, is very nice. I made the mistake of booking the cabin for the wrong weekend, but he helped out greatly. But, I have to warn others about looking forward to fishing off of the porch/deck. There's a jet ski/boat rental company and about 30 other boats that all have to use the inlet. And the cabin is the last, or first, cabin that every boat or jet-ski encounters. The water is always disturbed, except for Sunday mornings, which I noticed as I was packing up. Beautiful area, but this location isnt for fishing folks, sorry.

The weekend was peaceful and quiet. The view is amazing and the host was super responsive. This is a great little cabin if you’re just trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. But you are close to shopping, restaurants and entertainment if you want to get out also

The cabin was very cute & functional. There needs to be more silverware. Also the cabin did not cool down very well. The little ac over the couch only worked on low cool. Check-in was very easy. The pontoon closest to the marina may have a small leak as the cabin is lower on that side. Would definitely stay there again!

Floating cabin

This was on our bucket list to do and it was great, the cabin was easy to get to, it was exactly bigger than what we expected. The rooms were very comfortable with the air conditioning, and the bed slept really good. It was convenient to the restaurants and shopping centers. The view was great.
