About this property

3 Bed in Coldstream (oc-c39085)

This location has everything. Access to the gorgeous Borders Countryside & North Northumberland, The fabulous River Tweed, Castles and grand Country Houses and the beautiful coast of North Berwickshire and the drama of St Abbs Head. A lovely and inviting cottage recently refurbished with an amazing Terrace to enjoy the dawn chorus and a sundowner. Slow down and soak up the scenery with a stay at this stone‑built, detached period cottage in the heart of Coldstream. This welcoming Scottish Borders town is rich in history, independent shops and great places to eat (350 metres), making it an ideal base for families, couples and friends. Discover the town’s military heritage at the Coldstream Museum (150 metres), or enjoy salmon and trout fishing on the renowned River Tweed. The historic Coldstream Bridge (0.5 miles) offers lovely views as it links Scotland and England. Walkers and cyclists can head for the Cheviot Hills (16 miles), while those craving sea air will love the golden beaches of Berwick‑upon‑Tweed (14 miles), perfect for coastal strolls and wildlife spotting. With gin‑making experiences in Cornhill‑on‑Tweed (1.5 miles) and the grandeur of Floors Castle (9 miles) close by, there’s no shortage of memorable days out.

Step inside and leave muddy boots and coats in the entrance hall after busy days out. Then move into the comfortable living area, a sociable hub, with a Smart TV and dining area. French doors open onto the garden to let the outside in on mild days. The kitchen is well-equipped for everything from quick breakfasts to hearty evening meals, and there’s also a handy separate WC on the ground floor. Upstairs, the property has three inviting bedrooms: two doubles along with a single room featuring an additional full-sized pull-out single beneath – ideal for children or friends sharing. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the first floor.

Outside, you’ll love the fully enclosed south facing garden which enjoys magnificent views across the The Leet, River Tweed and the distant Cheviot Hills. The enclosed terrace area is furnished with a table and benches for laid-back al fresco meals or evening drinks. In the courtyard beside the cottage, you’ll have parking for two small cars or one medium-sized car/SUV. This is accessed via a short narrow lane and gateway from Leet Street. There’s also on-street parking.
