About this property

2 Bed in Lamesley (oc-cn107)

This property is located just outside the village of Lamesley. With easy access to the national road network, the city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne is a short drive from the cottage, and you’ll be within reach of Northumberland’s stunning heritage coastline. There are picturesque coastal villages and historic castles to the north, while many Areas of Outstanding Beauty and the Cathedral City of Durham are located south of the cottage. Why not visit Antony Gormley's famous Angel of the North sculpture, just a short drive away?

The cottage itself is light and spacious, with an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge has ample comfy seating for all guests from which to enjoy the TV, or to sit back with a coffee. The dining area has a table with seating for four, while the kitchen is fully-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. The master bedroom is on the ground floor, with a double bed, and two sets of French windows with views to the garden and beyond. The shower room is also located on the ground floor with a large corner shower cubicle and WC. The first floor is reached by an open-tread staircase which ascends to a mezzanine-level bedroom overlooking the lounge with a double bed and another TV. There is also a second bathroom on the first floor with a bath tub and separate WC.

The accommodation is set within the grounds of the owner’s property, in a secluded positons at the head of a private gravelled driveway, with ample space for parking. The garden lawn and patio areas surrounding the cottage offer breath-taking views over the Northumberland hills, and the purpose-built timber-framed gazebo is the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine. There is also a BBQ available to use for some al fresco dining and entertaining friends or family.
