The alcove hallway welcomes guests with a sweeping staircase and gracious, generous size rooms of Georgian proportions. The kitchen is bright and airy and presents a large, central marble island where guests can congregate and chat over a glass of wine. For the chefs in the party, there is an electric range oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, two dishwashers, a coffee machine and TV so you don't miss out while you are cooking up a storm for your family and friends. There is also a large kitchen table situated under the window which provides a lovely spot for breakfast. For more formal dining and special events, head to the classical dining room where a fine, shell and leaf trompe l’oeil motif has been discovered by the owners under layers of old paint and wallpaper, offering a true taste of history. The formal dining room can seat up to 18 guests comfortably with the option to add an additional table. Relax in the light and peaceful drawing room with large sofas; enjoy the stunning views over the grounds or, light the wood burner and curl up with a good book. The lounge, aptly named the 'Red Room' has a 'gentleman's club' feel with the addition of a pool table where you can all play a game or two. There is also comfortable seating by the wood burner, plus a projector to create your own cinema room, so bring along your favourite DVD's to watch them on the big screen. All-age family board games are available to play , along with an electric digital piano for the musically inclined to add some further, light entertainment. Also, on the ground floor is a beautiful king-size bedroom with an en-suite wet room. Completing the ground floor, you will find a smaller 'butler's kitchen' tucked away in the corner of the property with electric oven, microwave and gas hob, fridge and dishwasher, and a separate WC. Heading upstairs to the first floor is a snug or 'teenagers room' with TV, table football and a double sofa bed. There are two generous super-king-size bedrooms, which boast stunning high ceilings and huge bay windows with views over the grounds. There are then two nearby bathrooms, accessible down four steps, with a roll-top bath, separate shower and WC. Moving along the hallway there are two further king-size bedrooms, both with an en-suite shower room and WC and a further king-size bedroom. Lastly there are two twin bedrooms and a further bathroom with shower over bath and WC. The utility room offers plenty space for coats and boots and has a washing machine and tumble dryer.
On warm days, guests can relax and sit outside on the patio overlooking the lovely, expansive garden and woodland with tables and chairs seating 18. The gently sloping lawn provides plenty of room for exercise and garden games whilst enjoying the summer sun. Opposite a newly laid croquet lawn, there is a beautiful stone-built summer house with comfortable seating and a small fridge, making this a wonderful area for al fresco dining as well as some outdoor fun playing croquet together. Please note that there are two ponds situated within the mature grounds and stone walls, meaning parents must always supervise their children when outside.
