About this property

1 Bed in Bromyard (oc-95609)

This impressive, pet-friendly holiday home overlooking rolling countryside is a perfect rural hideaway for two, within easy reach of delightful market towns, historic National Trust properties and the glorious Malvern Hills. Lively Bromyard, 4 miles away, has a Thursday market, with independent specialist shops, the quirky Science Fiction Museum. Pick up a guide to the Black and White Village Trail, a scenic route along which you can see the area’s magnificent, timber-framed buildings. The National Trust’s medieval manor house at Lower Brockhampton (7 miles) is set in beautiful gardens, with orchards and woodland. Enjoy the delights of two further National Trust properties, both of them dog-friendly. Historic Croft Castle (17 miles) has a lovely orchard of Old Herefordshire apples and a lovely walled garden, while Georgian Berrington Hall (13 miles) offers visitors wonderful wildflower meadows. Drink in spectacular views from the Malvern Hills (15 miles) too.

Enter this striking, single-storey property through a spacious lobby with a utility room and WC. Double doors open into an impressive lounge/kitchen/diner, where vaulted ceilings with beams, windows and large patio doors to the garden flood the barn with light. It is beautifully furnished and decorated, using natural materials, subtle colour combinations and pale wood to create a peaceful, timeless ambience, enhanced by charming artworks inspire by nature. Cooking is a treat in the splendid bespoke kitchen with an island unit, and the dining area has a classic combination of white and wood. A beautiful period light reclaimed from the original cherry farm sits above, and there’s a feature red-brick fireplace (without a fire). In the lounge, elegant easy chairs and a classic sofa provide comfortable seating, together with a wall-mounted smart TV. Sleep well in the delightful king-size bedroom dressed in crisp linens and restful colours, with a glamorous, en-suite shower and WC.

Outside, the rear enclosed garden has outdoor furniture and overlooks the cherry orchard, with a small patio to the front.
