Maison Banbury - a large, comfortable and characterful home.
This beautiful home at the heart of an ancient 'circulade' village close to Minerve has been in our family since 2002 when our parents converted a disused farm building into a delightful house full of original features and modern amenities.
Aigne has easy access to the historic cities of Carcassonne, Beziers and Narbonne and is situated in the rolling countryside of the Minervois wine region. The beaches of Guissan and St Pierre are an easy drive and there is river swimming at Bize and Minerve.
The Space Our home features a very large living room with high ceilings and comfortable furniture. It features an original animal trough and has a piano and a fireplace. The walls of the house are decorated with a vast collection of framed art gallery posters, collected over the years by our father.
There are 3 full size bedrooms, 2 have double beds and 1 has 2 single beds. These can be joined together on request. The master bedroom has air-conditioning and the others all have ceiling fans.
There are 3 bathrooms: 1 is en-suite to the master bedroom and has a free standing roll-top bath and a separate shower. The other two are shower rooms - on the 1st floor and ground floor. There is a separate toilet on the 1st floor.
The kitchen has everything a cook would desire. There's a 5-ring gas hob and an electric oven. There's also a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and a fridge/freezer. There's ample space for meal preparation and multiple pans, oven dishes and utensils.
The dining area has a large table will accommodate 6 people comfortably.
The private and secluded garden has another large table for outside dining. There's also a parasol and a barbecue. There's also a day bed and deckchairs.
There's also a separate study / office with a sofa and desk.
The house has been classified as a 3 star Meublé du Tourisme.
Guest Access The whole house is yours! (There are couple of locked storage spaces.) Entry to your holiday home is via a lock-box - the code will be provided 4 days before your stay.
Other things to note For up to date local information about markets and events in the village and nearby you can download the Pocket Panneau app for your phone.
I also have an IG for the house where I post events and local area information in the stories and highlights (@maison_banbury)

What makes this property unique
My brother, sister and I have taken over this beautiful home from our parents. They converted an empty and derelict barn in 2003 and it has been the centre of our family's holidays since then.
