This executive caliber log sided home offers it all, with modern amenities, classic north woods décor, unbelievable lake views, and a spacious 2450 square foot layout. The moment you step in, you may never want to leave!

Sandy Shores offers 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Your master bedroom is located on the main level with sliding doors that open towards the lake. The master bath offers a whirlpool and separate shower along with a walk in closet. Another bedroom and bathroom are on the main level, and two more bedrooms and one more bathroom are on the second level leading from a loft that overlooks the great room. Sandy Shores comfortably sleeps 12.

Your great room offers floor to ceiling windows looking directly into the water. 100 year old Red Pines grace the yard as part of the landscape. A big screen tv, 22' high cathedral ceiling, and stone fireplace warm the living area. The dining area and custom kitchen flow nicely from the great room into an open living concept.

Most rooms offer a “Big Lake” view of Big St. Germain Lake and 1600 acres of water. Big St. Germain Lake is actually a chain of 3 lakes with easy access into Lake Content and Fawn Lake too. The shoreline of this property is very “Sandy”, faces south for great sun exposure and watching sunsets, plus the shoreline offers a gradual taper for safe family swimming.

We had an amazing time at Sandy Shores! Perfect location for our family gathering. We would definitely return! We also rented a pontoon boat from Hiller. It was the perfect addition to our trip!

Enjoyed morning and late afternoons in the back yard, watching the bald eagles soar above the tall pine trees.House was very clean with lots of sleeping options. Plenty of blankets but had to bring our own towels.Only issues were very slow wifi (3mbps DSL) and low water pressure (only 1 person can shower / run water at a time).

With a flat lawn, we were able to play lots of yard games and easily pack up coolers for the boat! We loved that the dock had room for multiple boats as well. The house itself was cozy but spacious and fit our group nicely. The kitchen has a huge counter and great pantry storage. There were a few small issues at the house, but the property managers were aware of them and worked on getting them fixed in a super non-obtrusive way. Overall, we were really happy with our stay and would recommend this home to others looking for a peaceful getaway!

Reviewer Comments: This property on St.Germain lake was everything we had hoped for in terms of a well maintained vacation rental in a relatively quiet location. With moderate boat/ jet ski noise, walking distance to 2 restaurants (just okay), easy access to paved bike trail, great golf nearby, and private dock; which you should pay the extra cost of having a brand new pontoon boat for the week ( and you don't even need to worry about fuel). The house fit our needs for a family reunion and really can sleep 14 if everyone gets along in terms of sharing bedrooms and baths (only 2 showers w/ marginal water pressure, but nicely decorated). The kitchen is very well appointed for a large group, though an extra card table is needed if everyone sits down for dinner. All things considered this is an excellent property with responsive management, but you can't have it the end of July as we have already rebooked for next year.

Reviewer Comments: We love our location & the overall amenities at Sandy Shores.Gave 4 stars for the property’s general condition this year: 1) 2nd year in a row we had to deal w/ the internet/cable service.Internet issue the previous year & cable issue this year.Home advertises Wi-Fi & Cable so renters should not have to deal with the frustration of these issues not working as advertised when they arrive especially when premiums are paid for the higher-end rental homes.We are “work-from-home” individuals & have to be able to rely on these technologies if needed even on vacation unfortunately. Although we dealt with these techy issues, the property management company was & always is fantastic & found a solution for us fairly quickly. 2) The carpets could use a deep cleaning. 3) Double bed mattress in bunk room & 1 of the beds in the 2nd bedroom on 2nd floor are very uncomfortable. 4) Grass had not been cut for days before we arrived on a Friday and was never cut throughout our 7 day stay which is unusual b/c someone usually arrived to cut the grass while we are on-site in years past. The tall grass & weeds was a bit annoying this year for everyone & a couple people had chitter bites all around their ankles from it. Gave 4 stars for cleanliness because when we arrived the home smelled very strong of prior “cooking” vs the clean sanitized smell we normally walk into. Had to wipe down range top, kitchen counters, bathroom counters, toilets, sinks and 2nd floor tub with random hair in them & grime remnants. We moved a bathroom rug & a bunch of grit fell out of it so it made us feel like if we had old, unclean rugs down, what else was there that might not have been fully cleaned/sanitized. We’ve rented for many many years and have seen all levels of vacation homes. Sandy Shores is by far our favorite, even though there were a few shortcomings the last couple of stays, we still rate this as one of the best, we’ll be back. (Updated sofa appre

Very nice and clean cottage

This is a great place to stay. It's big with plenty of beds and is very clean. The only negative thing we had is that the WIFI wasn't working while we were there.

Reviewer Comments: This was our 14th year at Sandy Shores. The accommodations are perfect for our 10 member family. The grandkids are able to fish off the pier and play baseball in the expansive backyard.The house has always been neat and clean and the management has always been helpful when needed.We enjoy activities such as go-carting, mini-golf and eating at an abundance of restaurants such as the 19th Hole and Sayner Pub. Don't forget Cathy's for ice cream!
