2 bed 2 bath Funky Pirate; 2 pools, ocean views across from beach, Maravilla

Two bedroom two bath condo with washer/dryer INSIDE the unit. The funky pirate is Located at the Maravilla which features 2 pools and hot tub. The heated pool is closed but has a large tropical pool with an island and cabana, and a small infinity pool. Note that the heated pool will be closed from Aug 18, 2025 until Thanksgiving and it might be noisy Also located right across from the beach!

The Complex has a workout room and both pools have barbecue pits to use first come.

This condo has a huge corner front balcony with a view of Moody Gardens and the bay. It also has a back balcony with a view of the heated pool.

The condo has a tv in both bedrooms. The master has a queen bed with a tub/shower combination. The guest room has a king bed and a Day bed that pulls out. The guest bath also has a tub shower combination.

The building requires all guests to get a parking pass for $10/day when you arrive. Maxed at $70. If you dont have a vehicle, you may be charged $10 for pool bands.

Mini golf and go carts are right next door. Enjoy Moody Gardens and the strand. Just a short ride away.

We are pet friendly with a non refundable pet fee. Please send your breed type and details when requesting a booking. If you book without paying the pet fee at the time of booking, you won't be allowed to stay upon arrival. There is also a dog park and a dog shower!

Wonderful get away

My grandkids and I really enjoyed our mini-vacay in this condo. It was more than we expected. The re were multiple pools and the condo was decorated so cute! Great view of the beach too! We will definitely stay here again.

We came with 3 kids and our pup. The condo is totally cute and we'll appointed! The kids could swim in the heated pool and we could even watch them from the balcony. Check in amd out was a breeze. We will definitely return!!!!

The place was roomy and pleasant. It had 2 bedrooms with space to sleep at least 6 comfortably. The pools were awesome. It was close to the restaurants and shopping. The view off the balcony let us see the ocean. I will absolutely try to stay at the property again.

Awesome place, but staff could be friendlier.

It was great.....the check in lady was ok but a bit ummmm unfriendly, i guess. And they said the pool bar was open but there eas no one there working it. That would of been a big plus. Overall we were very satisfied.

Perfect Getaway

This was a perfect location and condo for 2 kids and 2 adults. I was nervous about the pool being cold during March but the heated pool was perfect! We were walking distance to the beach. We played putt putt at the location right by this rental and took a day trip to nasa. All in all it was a great experience and would recommend.

Cute and Cozy Condo

The condo was VERY clean and so cute inside. We enjoyed sitting on the large balcony overlooking the pool... even saw a bunny. I deducted a star from Overall rating bc we saw a roach crawling on the sink bar two nights in a row... uck! Other than that, everything was perfect.

Some concerns

The property is undergoing renovations, office is in a diff location and they aren’t super friendly. Then we were asked if unit could be shown to potential buyers during our stay. The owner didn’t follow through with showing unit but it made us question our privacy and was a bit snarky with her replies as we were told “is it ok if someone comes to look at the unit at 4pm?” I had no clue who, or why, then I find out it’s being sold. The owner was sure to make us feel bad and tell us if she was the renter she’d have no issues letting the unit be shown…well, I’m renting it and paying for it so I feel like it could wait? She made sure to inform me that as the realtor of the property she can enter at anytime…The unit wasn’t super clean but we tried to overlook the small stuff. The condo is super decorated but also…super dusty. The king bed is 2 twins pushed together so you feel a seam. We had told the owner of a very unpleasant smelll of musty/cat pee smell upon arrival. Her solution was air fresheners. Despite telling her we were just letting her know, she said her housekeeper would be by with air freshener and check the ac drain pan. She never showed, we found out Sat that apparently she had a flat tire Friday and didn’t make it. She came sometime Sat morning while we were out. There are light fixture covers missing, there were left over popcicles in the freezer and overall cleanliness wasn’t there. Had to fill hall toilet with extra water to flush, and it just kept running.

Overall, I would stay again here with my Grandkids. They enjoyed the pools and the ocean access across the highway was nice. I was a bit disappointed when we pulled into the condo parking lot due to all the construction up front. The facility is older but is being worked on.

Always a great Stay!

We have used this property twice for a quick stay before a cruise! It’s in a perfect location and is so easy to check in. It has pools which is great and access to the ocean right across the street. Perfect for our needs and no complaints!

•Unfortunately, the TV didn’t work during our stay because the outlets in the living room weren’t functioning.•There were no working lamps in the condo, which made the space feel dim and a bit uninviting at night.•We were only provided three trash bags for our entire stay, and just two rolls of toilet paper—this made it difficult to manage basic needs for more than a day or two.•The balcony railing feels very unstable and shaky, which raised some safety concerns.•The beds were extremely firm and uncomfortable, especially the king-size one, which has a wooden frame that digs into anyone trying to sleep in the middle.•The living room furniture isn’t practical for relaxing or gathering—it’s quite uncomfortable.•The kitchen was minimally stocked and not guest-friendly. There were only two standard-size forks, with the rest being baby forks, and many other basic utensils or cookware seemed to be missing.•The toilets didn’t flush properly, which became frustrating and inconvenient.•The dishwasher backs up into the sink while it’s running, which made us hesitant to use it at all.•We were also surprised not to have been told in advance that the building is under construction. The exterior looks very run-down, and it was a bit of a shock when we first arrived.•Lastly, all of the curtains are sheer, so sleeping in wasn’t really an option with how bright the space gets early in the morning.

Cute condo

Condo was well preserved and clean. This is by no fault of the owner but it's loud. Music from pool party, kids upstairs etc. Just don't expect quiet.Paying for parking is a sore point if you are renting a condo. King bed is a double pieced together. Nightly live is ok. Cleaning and service fee taxes on id just rather stay at a hotel and get a hot breakfast.

Good Stay

One little hiccup at arrival with the code to the door at it being late. Realized the next day 3 codes in the description and one worked! Yay. Our call was answered and we got in. Property was clean and served to the purpose of our short stay before a cruise.
