3 bedroom 3 bathroom town house in the heart of the Loire castles

Short stays accepted from 2 nights. This adorable holiday home for 6/7 people, with its 3 bedrooms, 1 of which is equipped with a TV with Play station 2 with games of all ages and DVD player for children, its 3 bathrooms with showers and WC for one maximum privacy, fitted American kitchen and a living room, all in a neat and cozy decor, and although in the city center with all the shops, you will find a calm and soothing place. All the windows of the rooms are to the south and do not overlook any road, you will be the neighbors for a few days of the last home of Leonardo da Vinci 'le Clos Lucé', where he often received the visit of his friend, King François 1er . The Gite is located in the most visited street of Amboise (mostly pedestrian traffic) indeed, it connects Clos Lucé to the Castle, on the way you can stop to look at the cave houses still inhabited today. You can also take walking trails which pass at the foot of the cottage, as well as the Loire à Vélo route. Amboise is the central point for the visit of the Loire Castles: Chenonceaux, Chambord, Cheverny, Blois, Chaumont and its fabulous gardens, Ussé (the Sleeping Beauty Castle), and many more ... To discover !
You can also eat with Tourangelles specialties in one of the many restaurants in the city, 5 minutes' walk from the gite, and so enjoy the Loire wines produced in our region in peace. And then, visit the winegrowers who will make you visit their cellars and taste their production.

This was a charming home that was very comfortable and convenient for our family of 6 staying there. We appreciated the homey details and provision of games for the family to enjoy. Some of the spaces were a little tight, but that’s to be expected with a renovated historic building. The host was friendly, flexible, and responsive. We enjoyed our time here!

Perfect location!

We really enjoyed this place. It had so much character and was perfect for exploring Amboise and beyond. The "cave like" environment took some getting used to, but it ended up being our favorite place to stay out of our 2 week vacation. Well recommended.

Fabulous location in amboise.

Lovely Stay, Excellent Location

Alexandra's lovely home is in a perfect spot to visit the Loire Valley. Ample free parking is right around the corner. Separate washer and dryer worked well, but be sure to empty dryer reservoir and leave the closet door open to ventilate. Bedrooms and bathrooms are available on the top floor and basement, just note that you'll have to use stairs to access them. Restaurants, cafés, wine bars, boulangeries, and grocery stores are within easy walking distance, as is the impressive Château d'Amboise and Leonardo da Vinci's manor house. Alexandra was very responsive to inquiries during our stay. Highly recommended.

Perfect Location and Layout

We absolutely loved our stay at this Amboise home! Steps away from Leonardo da Vinci's chateau, easy walking distance to center city, and separate bedrooms and baths for all of our family all made our stay easy and relaxing. Our hosts were so attentive and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again!

Ambrosia in Amboise

We absolutely loved staying at Alexandra’s house in Amboise. The location, ambience, highend finishings and a 20 minute walk from the train station: all was well, even with a construction project down the road toward the Chateau Royal. I’ll say it again: we absolutely loved our stay in Amboise—unfortunately not for anyone with mobility issues

One of the BEST places our family has stayed! The owner is so kind. The house is decorated with thoughtfulness. We were there during Easter time and she decorated it for the Easter season! Wonderful location. Can’t recommend enough!!

Lovely home in a great location

Our family of four + dog loved our stay in this lovely, quirky and homely townhouse in an ideal location for exploring all that Amboise has to offer. The layout of the house and particularly the three bathrooms was perfect for us and our teenagers. The hostess was very quick to respond to our queries and the check-in process could not have been easier. We hope to return.

Lovely rental and ideal location

This is such a sweet rental! It was clean, quite, comfortable bedding and showers, and had some lovely touches in decorating. The owner was very responsive. The location is a short walk to dining, shopping, grocery, and monuments. As long as your party is comfortable with stairs, I highly recommend this wonderful home.

Privacy for 3 couples, comfort and location

We thought this place was much more charming in person than in photos! We loved the uniqueness of this property which was on different levels. Each of the 3 bedrooms had its own bathroom which is impossible to find in France. Walked a few minutes to town which is super close and it’s right next to chateau de clos Lucé. Great place to explore in and around Amboise.

Great location & venue!

Communications with host are easy and excellent - very accomodating! Location is ideal for easy walking access, whether to the chateau or to Clos du Luce. Guests must be comfortable with negotiating stairs, but is in every other way an excellent venue. It has a very functional kitchen, of which we made good use. It, and Amboise in general, is a great base for exploring the Loire Valley.

Room for all!

We had 3 couples traveling and all of us had plenty of private space as well communal gathering. We ate wonderful breakfasts in, before setting out in our car (close car park was very easy), for the conveniently located sites. Then, always a pleasure to return to, before walking to one of the numerous, great restaurants! This place is for active people who don't mind stairs, we found it perfect!

Perfect location and charming. There are circular steep stairs. May be unsafe for infants and toddlers. All the amenities. Well stocked kitchen utensils and appliances.

Excellent choice for visiting the Loire

This is an excellent value and nice property to use as a base for visiting the Loire Valley. The house is on a beautiful street in Amboise with easy parking. Plenty of room with nice amenities. Three bathrooms were awesome. Air conditioners were available in the bedrooms. This was a nice surprise. There was no problem with heat or sleeping at night. This rental is a great value and highly recommended.

Great Gite Next Door to Leonardo da Vinci's House

Beautiful and functional renovation of a 19th century house. Superb location in Ambroise. Walk to everything. House very well appointed with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. We appreciated the new washer and dryer and the large size refrigerator. Dead quiet for sleeping, especially in the downstairs bedrooms. Really there were no problems at all during our stay and Alexandra was very responsive to all inquiries. Very much recommended.
