Great location. Comfortable living space with plenty of room for our family. Easy entry instructions and immediate response from the host to any inquiries. Would highly recommend the property.
What a wonderful place! The view of the Potomac River was beautiful!!The house itself was so nice and spacious. Everything was and clean and very homey.
Great location, fantastic activities - fishing, tubing on the river, hiking & family dinners. Grandkids had an excellent time. Mike is an awesome host. Our third stay at this house, says it all!
Loved our weekend away with friends at this home. Plenty of space to spread out, if needed. View is amazing and home was stocked well with starter essentials. Thank you for a great space; we hope to return
We were nine women ranging in age from 79 to 81. We loved the house. We could be spread out when we slept and gather in two large spaces on the second and third floors. Most important to us was the attitude and friendliness of the host. Thank you for perfectly perfect time.
The property is beautiful. A great view of the river, multiple porches, and lots of space. A perfect get away with lots of fun things to do close by. Also great just to hang out. Felt like home, would recommend to anyone. Michael was very communicative and answered all my questions very quickly, and even recommended fun things to do in the area.
The house was amazing, great views and a great layout that allowed for us to hang as a group or have some privacy. Very convenient to everything we wanted to do; Harper’s Ferry, Ziplining (or rafting based on time of year), and the Brewery that we went to on the last night felt like it was almost walking distance. Definitely recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat.
The house was a perfect size for my group of 10. We stayed for my birthday weekend and the house was very stocked with cleaning supplies, sheets, pillows, towels, etc. Michael was very responsive and even sent a huge list of recommendations in the area. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely be staying here!!!
This house was better than the description. Check in & out was so easy. House was the best stocked house we’ve ever stayed in! Michael’s response time was awesome! Very clean & had an amazing view. Beds/bath worked perfectly for our girls trip. Loved this house & location!
The location was awesome, the views from the balcony were awesome and the house was very close to Harper’s Ferry and a local brewery. The house was very clean and had a well kept interior with plenty of extra towels and sheets for all of us (group of 8 people). The host was also superb, giving lots of good local recommendations. Overall a 10/10
The home was beautifully decorated with comfortable and plentiful seating. Bedrooms were all cozy with good beds and good lighting,
We loved the three decks with the views of the Potomac River, even with the rain and fog.
Had a wonderful weekend at this property with my wife and 11 year old daughter. Beautiful views of the river. Convenient location. Would gladly return.
From first reserving this wonderful home to our last day leaving the host was responsive, warm and helpful. The house was everything stated in the advertisement and more. Wonderful location with 3 decks overlooking the Potomac with enough rooms to allow all of our group of 4 couples their own space. The main floor with kitchen and dining area is a great gathering place for mingling and preparing/eating meals together. Our family gets together once a year and this was by far our favorite home and host. Harpers Ferry holds much to do and see!
Our stay was wonderful. Our place was extremely clean, the views were unbelievable from the decks and driveway. You could see across river to Harper’s Ferry Brewing Co. and watched the people tubing on the river.
All the amenities were spot on. We will be repeat renters. LOVED it!

About the host

I am a native Floridian who relocated to DC over twenty years ago. I love this place which has been described as the "Greenest big city in the U.S." . I am an avid nature lover and savor living next to the Potomac River, also known as "the wildest urban river in the world." We live just minutes from Great Falls, with world class kayaking and ferocious rapids. When we are not enjoying city life in our Nation's Capitol, we relax at our mountain retreat an hour away in Boonsboro, MD. We enjoy welcoming guests from around the world into our homes and look forward to meeting you.
