There are several parks in Vinohrady. Havlíčkovy sady (literally Havlíček's Orchards) is the Prague's second-largest park. There is Villa Gröbe that served as summer house of the nobility, it is inspired by Italian Renaissance suburban villas and is surrounded by vineyards still in production founded by Charles IV in the second half of the 14th century. Vineyards and Vineyard summerhouse were at the end of the 20th century started to deteriorate, but were renewed and now has an area of 1.7 hectares and annually produces 4,000 liters of wine. There are grown varieties of Müller Thurgau, Rhine Riesling, Dornfelder, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, and since 1997 there annually happen "Vinohrady vintage celebrations" (usually in September). In the north-west part of Vinohrady, near Italská street, there is Riegrovy sady (Rieger's Orchards) with Vinohrady Sokol House and a large outdoor restaurant. Folimanka Park is situated at the Vinohrady side of Nusle Valley under large Nusle Bridge. Smaller parks are situated in central Vinohrady: sady Svatopluka Čecha (Svatopluk Čech's Orchards) near Vinohradská street, Bezručovy sady (Petr Bezruč's Orchards) between Slezská and Francouzská street) and parks at all main Vinohrady squares. Host so kind and helpful! Great location with good local restaurants nearby. Access to public transportation quite perfect and useful for making it around city. Highly recommend!
We stayed here for about six weeks while visiting family and loved it. The apartment is well appointed and comfortable, and our genial host took care to make sure that our stay went smoothly. The location is terrific, right by a tram stop that affords easy access to locations everywhere in Prague.
The property was very accessible via public transport, spotlessly clean and well maintained. The host is super friendly and helpful and we would cheerfully visit again
Mauricio was an excellent host. He provided lots of information regarding restaurants, trams, currency and details on various means of transportation from the airport to the flat. The flat itself was clean, spacious and well equipped and supplied. We would gladly stay there again if in Prague.
Property was exactly at portrayed. We were a late arrival and host made the check-in process seamless. Praha 2 is a great place to stay. Will repeat if we should be so lucky to return to Prague
Enjoyed our 3 days at the apartment. Very easy to get to downtown Prague and a nice neighborhood. Clean, well-appointed place. Maury, the host was very attentive and helpful.
Great location and loved the neighborhood. Very easy to get around with metro 2 blocks away and very easy to use. Also easy walk to so many things. Prague was beautiful and our family loved it.
The apartment was perfect - very comfortable bed, great water pressure, very secure, excellent WiFi, and the perfect location.
Close to metro and tram stops, but also very walkable to all the major sights. In a ‘real’ neighborhood with great restaurants and pubs.
Communication, check in etc was very easy.
I highly recommend this property!!!

Wonderful guests, thank you very much for your kind visit.
You are more than welcome anytime!
We had a terrific time in Prague. Maury was a fantastic host. Meet us at 10 PM and spent time explaining everything about the Apartment. The neighborhood is great, with many places to eat and visit. It was an easy walk to the Main area of Prague or use the fantastic transit system. Terrific Host for our stay.
We enjoyed our stay in Prague. The apartment was in a location accessible to multiple modes of transportation which made getting to places easier. It was comfortable and had the basic amenities.
For the price point it was a good bargain. The host was pleasant and responsive.
The simplicity and location of the property was a great match for us and our military son who was meeting us in Prague over the weekend. The flat was great for the family, the extra room was perfect for him, and the location of the flat gave us quick access to old town and public transportation, and yet kept us away from the swarm of people.
The owners were exceptional (especially Maury), communicated very well with us with very detailed and helpful instructions and tips, and were excellent hosts.
Big rooms for four people. Kitchen well equipped. Located in the 5th floor - via elevator - you have a nice view to the roofs but not onto the city. Only the roof windows need a soon maintenance. They could be more sound-absorbing, but anyway we had a good sleep. Very close to public transport.
Everything was as promised. The apartment is very nice and conveniently located close to trams and metro stations. Maury was very thorough with the check in. Note: Vrbo replaces app names in emails with ——————. WhatsApp is the easiest way to communicate between international smart phones.
Namesti Maru offers a residential feel with many commercial offerings, including restaurants, bars, shops, and excellent public transportation access. Mauricio’s apartment met all our needs, and his personal management made for a very comfortable and easy stay. Our friends who chose nearby hotels were not nearly offered as much. We’ve stayed in many vrbos in several countries, and Mauricio and his NM penthouse is great! Our fantastic trip to Prague was partly due to our arrangements with him, and we’re already talking about returning!

Comfortable stay
Warm upper level apartment. Was very hot when we arrived but with the use of the fans we were able to cool it down. Smoking from the neighbors and the restaurant down stairs detracted from the stay. The kitchen was well equipped but cooking was limited due to the heat. The skylights could not be left open because of the weather, reducing the cross draft through the apartment. Hosts were very helpful with our needs.

Wonderful guests, thank You for Your visit.
You are more than welcome any time.
Maury met us at the apartment as promised and explained everything to us. There are many restaurants and sightseeing opportunities. Wenceslas Square is in easy reach by the metro but lots of walking afterwards. If you are touring the castle wear proper footwear for traversing cobblestones as there are many! The walk down the hill is not for those with mobility issues. Only downside to the apartment is no air conditioning and it was very hot and humid.

Thank You very much for Your kind visit, You are wonderful guests and You will be always more than welcome back anytime dear Phil.
The National Museum (in Wenceslas Square) is about 350 meters far from the flat by walk.
In case You could reach it by tram as well (1 tram stop).
Anyway, as You are a very nice 76 yo gentleman maybe You and Your adorable wife preferred to go there by tube, of course; perhaps to be able to enjoy the longest escalator in Europe inside the tube station close to the flat as well :)
Yes, unfortunately almost the whole centre of Prague is an old pedestrian area, so that some time the only possibility is to walk, we are sorry about that.
Anyway, of course, as written on the website the tram stops are about 100 meters far from the flat and, for example, by the famous trams 22 and 23 within a few minutes You are comfortably:
- In Charles Square (Medieval Town Hall, Dancing House, Cyril and Methodius Cathedral, etc etc...)
- In the Old Town
- In front of the National Theatre, the riverside and the isles
- In one of the many lower gates of the park, in front of the cable car
- In Mala Strana and Charles Bridge
- In front of the main gate of the Castle
- On the top of the hill of the whole Castle area (so, if You prefer, all the roads go down from that point)
About the weather:
During July and August the average high temperature is 26 Celsius degrees.
During July the average low temperature is 16 Celsius degrees.
During August the average low temperature is 15 Celsius degrees.
Unfortunately during Your 4 nights stay the weather was a little bit crazy: a couple of hot days mixed with several sudden storms.
That's definitely not normal and we are really sorry about those circumstances because usually Prague has a very dry weather.
Of course, as written on the website, inside the flat there are portable fans too, in case.
Friendly greetings from Prague to You and to Your adorable wife,
thank You very much again for Your kind visit,
Maury and family
The attention and time Maury gave us before arriving was extensive and prompt. He was punctual, very friendly and thorough in ensuring we knew how to access and use everything. He provided plenty of helpful suggestions via links and in person. Maury takes pride in ensuring his guests receive the same level of service that he would expect for himself. Four happy Canadians who would not hesitate to rent from Maury again!
