Stones Throw Cottage is a luxury bungalow close to UNT, I35 and the downtown square. Enjoy fresh and modern furnishings, incredibly comfortable beds and fast internet. Just a stones throw away from UNT (1 block) and 2 miles from TWU. Also nearby is the enchanting Quakertown Park. Lots of shady walking opportunities!

* When booking, tell us about yourself and what brings you to Denton. The cottage is best suited for 3-4 adults or a small family. Capacity is 4 for both adults and children. If you need to add a 5th child, contact host before booking.
* The cottage is not childproof. Notify host if bringing children or if children are visiting.
* PETS to be approved in advance. Prefer no multiple pets unless prior approval is met. A non-refundable pet deposit is required. Deposit waived for people with disabilities who have assistance animals registered with the state. Ask to see our pet policy.
* There is a surveillance camera on the front porch.

Great location and cute house, would stay again!

Host was accommodating and the house was nice! We only came back to sleep at night and the beds were some of the most comfortable ones we've slept in. Would come back again if in the area.

Great place

Very nice stay . Very clean and comfortable. If there anything bad to say, it would be if your coming in a group of cars there is no parking. So two cars tops on the drive way. I would stay here again. .

We have never had any trouble parking 2-3 cars. In addition, we also have free street parking. Much more parking than most in the area. Thanks again!

We had a wonderful stay while visiting family in Denton. The house was equipped with all things needed (coffee!) and it was very clean, updated, and cozy. Many accommodations were provided to make our stay stress free, and the location was perfect for visiting family. Highly recommended cottage. Awesome cottage close to UNT

What a surprise! Great location and fantastic place. It's MUCH larger on the inside than it looks on the outside. I don't know how they did that. Lauren is a fantastic property manager. We were well taken care of! This cottage gets my highest recommendation!

Dreamy Cottage!

As soon as you walk in the door, it feels like you've come home to that perfect little cottage of your imagination. Charm and luxury abound! Bedding and linens don't miss the mark - very comfortable. My son and I stayed for one week and were completely comfortable and at home. It's also super close to the campus (walking distance) and downtown. The owner has really gone above and beyond to make your stay relaxing - a coffee machine with coffee, a small basket of snacks, and toiletries in the bathroom. When we come back next year, we will definitely reserve this little dream cottage!

The hosts are extremely kind, and even after multiple attempts to fix a specific issue with this property, it persisted forcing me to terminate the agreement earlier than expected. The beautifully renovated house was in the perfect location and the perfect size. However, the 3rd bedroom wasn’t usable due to a very strong mildew odor. In fact, the smell seeped into the entire area which inevitably permeated all of my bedding and clothing. I realize there’s only so much you can do with an old home, but a repair is definitely required to bring it up to a proper standard. Unless this sort of thing doesn’t bother you.

Even though no other guests have reported an odor in more than 5 years of operation, we did install a whole house carbon filter amongst other upgrades. Better Than 5 Stars

I've traveled a lot--camped under the stars, slept in train stations and in 5 star, exclusuve hotels. I know quality. Stones Throw is quality. Lauren and Doug's homes (I've also stayed at their Shiplap Cottage) include subtle details that make you feel like you're at home and pampered at the same time. It's fully modern, yet homey too. The art and furnishings are carefully designed to allow a nix of modern and antiques to work together. There is real art on the walls, games on the shelf, everything you need to cook or bake almost anything, and the beds are sooo comfy, And it's clean. Not just surface clean, really clean down to every nook and cranny. Plus they use sustainable, unscented products, so it feels really healthy to be there. Really an exceptional experience!

When it finally stopped raining, we walked to the square. Jupiter Coffee House was on Point!

Love the decor and all the convenient hospitable perks. Coffee, snacks, thick towels. Toiletries. Would love to come when not so wet n cold and chillax on front porch or the back yard..

House is wonderful and very comfortable for 3 to 4 adults. Beds slept the best of any rentals we have stayed in.

We encourage everyone to visit the historic downtown Denton square where you will find live music, local restaurants and fun shops.

We chose this property in the highly sought-after 76201 zip code due the vibrant college atmosphere and the Historic Downtown Square which is unique, active and has numerous independent shops and restaurants. To top it all off, the craft coffee and craft beer gardens are some of the best we have found, anywhere in the USA!

What makes this property unique

This was a rare find! The cottage has beautiful natural light and a charming look and feel. I can't say this enough, but we love the easy and close proximity to UNT & TWU, as well as arguably the best downtown square in Texas--and maybe even the nation!
