We had thanksgiving here with my family, my sister in laws family and my mother in law. This house is so cool and unique. Perfect house for hide and seek, all of our kids played, including the older 21 year old cousin down to the youngest 8 year old. They played probably 30 rounds during our 4 night stay. The hot tub was great. Beautiful view from the large back deck. Plenty of room and beds for everyone. The table fit ALL of us for thanksgiving dinner. Nice open living room/dining room/kitchen where we could all hang out and not feel on top of each other. The hosts were very communicative, there was a plumbing issue that came up, no fault of hosts, these things happen, and they immediately had it fixed. We will absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend
Huge house with lots of room. Had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The pictures do not do this house justice. However, the house could do with some updates.

Chase -
Thanks for staying with us and for your comments. The house has since seen updates in furniture and bedding, some plumbing fixtures, and additional TVs. Have we missed anything?
- The property managers
We really enjoyed our stay at this house, which has an unusual layout that worked well for our family, which included our son, daughter-in-law, and their baby. The house is really two homes combined, so they had their own separate "unit" so to speak, which was wonderful. And the property managers were great to work with when we had a couple of small issues at the beginning. Very responsive, and followed up to make sure it was all okay. Lastly, being so close to the mountain was fantastic!

Pictures can be deceiving
Great location and good house for bachelors only. Every small space is tur Ed into a room. Bedroom. #4 is an attic turned into bedroom with 2 beds but only way to get there is through a makeshift ladder next to a long drop of stairs case. OSHA would have a field day. For skiers the house is in a great location

I'm not sure why Albert thinks the pictures are deceiving; another reviewer commented that they don't do the house justice. The only issue that Albert' mentioned is the attic/loft, which is NOT BR 4. It is not a bedroom at all, nor is it even shown or mentioned in the listing. Children often like to play up there, since the floor is covered by mattresses; but if it will make you happy, we can just lock it off during your stay.
As you can read in the listing, the house has 5 bedrooms (all legitimate bedrooms), plus a daybed/trundle in the library, and two Full-size futons in the family room. With a very large kitchen (with 2 refrig/freezers), large dining room, large living room, large family room, and a large back deck, this home offers lots of congregating space for multi-generation family gatherings, small wedding parties, reunions, or multiple families looking to enjoy Tahoe together.
- The property manager
This is a quiet location and ideal home for a large group. However, I must say there are some things that needed update such as the mattresses and bedding. Some beds you could actually feel the springs on your body. One of the sinks was leaking so the use was limited. We were unable to find toilet paper so we had to share with other bathrooms. So if your group just wanted a place to take a break and go do other activities then this place would be fine.

Thanks for staying with us, and thank you for the comments; they're helpful. Since your visit, there is a lot of new furniture and bedding. The leaking sink faucet was also replaced. I'm not sure how the toilet paper happened; we try to leave a roll on the holder an 2 back-ups.

Vacation from hell
The house smelled moldy. There were dead bugs on one of the bed. Dangerous chair placement in the "library". Trundle bed collapsed on lower mattress. Faucet not working in one the bathroom sinks. Internet not available. Pictures were entirely deceiving. Large holes in the ceiling sheetrock. For such a large house, the parking was a mess and one of the spaces was taken up by a broken down car. What a nightmare experience. The only redeeming part was that the property managers were very responsive to our complaints. They scored a 10 our of 10!

We're very sorry that Joan had such a bad experience, and she did. We try to make our guests happy and comfortable. Fortunately, she called us shortly after arrival with some concerns. We offered to move her to another property, which she chose to do; so her group did not even stay in the house, but they did tell us that they had a very enjoyable stay at the other property.
Here's an update on the issues she raises:
1. The trundle bed's wooden support was badly broken; I'm guessing that a previous guest had kids who used the bed as a trampoline. The support structure has since been replaced with a new one. We also noticed that the twin beds in the downstairs twin bedroom were not adequately supported, so we have fixed that issue as well.
2. The faucet had recently begun leaking internally, so the water to it was shut off. The faucet has since been replaced.
3. We do not control the internet. We are "in the woods", and, despite the local community being tech-savvy, all properties in the region are subject to outages that we don't control.
4. The hole in the sheet rock ceiling was to help detect the source of leaking from the bathroom above. The upstairs shower surround was determined to be the source and has been replaced. The ceiling currently has a temporary painted plywood panel to allow us to ascertain that the problem is indeed solved and will be replaced by new sheet rock when practical to do so.
5.. There is one parking space in the garage and room for 4 additional cars on the parking pad. as described in the listing. We do not control street parking, which is not allowed in the winter months so as to not interfere with snow removal.
This is a very large home with a number of common areas to gather, making it an excellent choice for family gatherings, small wedding parties and reunions.
- The Property Managers.
This is a really fun property. We met one of the owners, Tuck, while there and he was very friendly and personable. The views from the back windows are gorgeous and there was plenty of space for our group of 14 (plus two babies). It's a quirky place and feels like the Winchester Mystery House but we got a kick out of it.

Internet not available and didn’t stay here
We didn’t end up renting the property because we arrived to learn that the internet was out and had been for a month. This was a non started for us so we had to find alternate accommodations and never stayed at this house. Bev refunded our money promptly.
Overall it was a nice house. We enjoyed staying but there were a some problems with the house. There was mice around the house and there was a loose pole in the living room.

Alfredo -
Thank you for your comments. The pole is not a concern; I'm sure it was pulled loose by previous guests grabbing onto it or leaning against it.
MIce are an annual ritual at Tahoe and might be found in virtually any property in the region. They move indoors from the woods in late November and we begin trapping. We have usually eradicated them all by mid to late December. I'm glad that your family had an enjoyable stay, and we hope to host you again on your next visit to Tahoe.
The house is HUGE! Everyone had a place to stay! The house is somewhat of a castle which only adds to how unique it truly is. Older home but is more than accommodating. The house also has a few games to choose from near the piano area.
We stayed here for a family reunion. It was a perfect house for our large family. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice big place!!
We had plenty of room for my family of 5 and my partners family of 4. Walking distance to resort and quiet private neighborhood. Could use some upgrades and a deep clean but overall an excellent place to stay. Would stay there again for sure.

ALMOST 5 stars ...
Property was perfect for our family Thanksgiving - roomy and comfortable. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars are a few minor appliance and lighting issues that made preparation of meals a little challenging. But no stopping us - what a blast! Tons of towels and everything we needed.

Well-stocked, beautiful home. Bev very easy to work with.
Lots of room for our family reunion. Most of our group were 70+ and one over 90, so the multi level stairs were a bit of a challenge for some of us. Dining room large enough to accommodate all of us. Very comfortable home and lovely scenery.

Wedding Weekend
Our niece got married in Squaw Valley, and this property worked perfect for multiple adult family couples and a few grandkids. Everyone had their own private space to get ready for the wedding, and we had a great time later in the large dining/living room area for game night. We enjoyed having a bbq and hot tub available to relax and unwind. Easy walk to the local Starbucks and several Pub/Grills. We will return again soon. Thanks / Lee

Beautiful yet comfortable home for large group
This was the second time we have rented this home--it's perfect and lovely in every way. The view of the mountains from three of the bedrooms as well as the dining and living rooms is stunning. Being within walking distance of Squaw Village - with more views of those mountains - is great. It's also a short drive to Tahoe City. The house itself lacks for nothing and the owner, Jean, along with his care takers, are very responsive and pleasant to do business with. We hope to return for another happy, memory-making vacation next year.

Clean, Spacey, Open, Warm, Great Value & Close
We were very impressed with this rental property. The photos do the place no justice. It is very clean, warm, and has a great open layout with a common dining/kitchen/living/deck area. Private bedrooms with many bathrooms and sinks. The owner is extremely responsive and the place is well taken care of. The price is unbeatable this close to the lifts/village (short walk). It is a great value. Highly recommend for a multifamily gathering.
Enjoy Your Stay.

A lovely birthday retreat!
My family and friends gathered here to celebrate my birthday and had a wonderful time. We had 8 people and were able to gather comfortably around the large table, spread out in the living room and cook up a storm. We especially liked the deck outside---just to sit and relax---and grill. We especially appreciated the prompt and helpful support from the owner, Jean and we would happily recommend this unit to others.

Perfect for our needs -
We were a large group (10 adults and 3 infants, but had plenty of private and public space. Jean was very helpful and accommodating with all our requests. The house is on a quiet street, has a beautiful view, and is very accessible to the Squaw Valley complex (12 minutes walk, 2 minute drive).
The house is clean, well-equipped (2 fridges, a BBQ, hot-tub, etc.) and a great base for our vacation. We would definitely stay there again.
