It was a very spacious rental with close proximity to the beach and a pretty view of the driving range. The only drawback is that, being on the end of the island, it takes a long time to get places.

It was an older home and had a musty smell when we arrived. It didn’t feel like it had been cleaned recently.

Enjoyed Isle of Palms and the Wild Dunes Resort. It is a nice property that is home to many wonderful family vacations. Wild Dunes provided lots of options for our teenagers. The pool and beach access were great. The beach access leads to the point which is quiet and there are few waves and a different breeze than if you head futher south and access the beach from other resort locations. A great vacation!

Four generations enjoyed this house for a week with close access to the beach and even closer to the neighborhood pool. The four bedrooms plus baths meant we all had private space but the open living room/dining room/kitchen area enabled us to gather to socialize and eat meals. Yes, the house does show its age, but we were cool and comfortable.

Family vacation to SC from WI. We loved the beach, the quiet neighborhood and the cleanliness of the accommodations. The space is spacious, and airy. We were disappointed that the pool and hot tub were closed after our first night.... with no indication of when (or if) it would reopen.
We had 10 people total for a family vacation. There was plenty of room for all of us and so nice to have 4 bathrooms. Kitchen was equipped with about anything you could need Property manager was quick to respond. The only thing that would’ve been great was having the hot tub work in the winter. Great place tho overall!!

Overall it was a very desirable property. Our suggestion for improvements include, more seating on the back deck and a ceiling fan, a better Wi-Fi system, a more thorough cleaning, more side tables in the living area, a chest of drawers for the master bedroom, and
a thorough cleaning of the downstairs porch. On a positive note, The beds were awesome.

Great location, close to beach, pool, and good lagoon views. Home had only bare minimum necessities (ie. Towels, sheets), and no extras (ie. Bikes, pool chairs, toys etc.). No welcome package received and had to call and request wild dunes car passes.

Location was great, good access to both beach and pool. But the property needs some attention. Lights with no operable switches, stained mattresses, dining table was sticky from age, only 4 bowls in the cabinets for a 4 bedroom house, pots and pans all need replace if, bugs stuck to all of the screens, we had to clean the downstairs screened in patio table and chairs to even use them, missing smoke detectors. The list goes on. Having owned a VRBO property, we know you have to stay on it to keep guests vpcoming back. This management group needs to up their game for a property in this price point.

Hi! Thank you for the review. I am so sorry to hear that your stay didn't meet your expectations! We of course want all of our guests to enjoy their vacation and to be as comfortable as possible. I wish we would have known during your stay with us! We have a local team available 24/7 to address any concerns or requests, and we pride ourselves on responding to any call immediately. We'd like to address the feedback in the review and to explain a bit about these items. Our team has inspected all mattresses and mattress pads at the home, and everything seemed to be in good order there! We also tested all lights in the home and all were working as they should. I know there are a lot of switches, so it can be tricky - but we would have been happy to assist/demonstrate had we known! Regarding the table, we recently had it refinished and it appears something was used during that process to create the sticky feel (but we promise it is not from lack of cleanliness or from age!). Plans are currently underway to refinish the table again, and in the meantime we have placed new tablecloths there for convenience. Apologies for the lack of bowls and plates - we went ahead and replenished all plates, bowls, and pots and pan. We'll absolutely connect with the housekeeping team to make sure they're checking that patio furniture between every guest, so I appreciate you bringing that to our attention. Again, we are sorry to hear that your stay was less than ideal, and we would love the chance to host you again! Should you choose to stay with us again next year, we'll make sure to have someone from management personally inspect the home prior to your arrival. Thanks for staying with us - and take care!

Fabulous, Spacious, Beach House on Beautiful IOP
This home is a great place to stay on the Isle of Palms. Steps to Beach, Private Community Pool and Spa, and Golf Course. Easy highway access to nearby Charleston, so many wonderful restaurants and plenty of family friendly activities and tourist attractions.
The Home: We stayed at this home from November thru February. We chose this home because of the spacious layout, location, being in a gated community, being steps from the pool, hot tub, and beach. It is a fabulous home, very spacious, sun decks on both the front and back of the home. Partial ocean views from the front, and golf course and pond views from the back. We were easily able to cook anything we wanted with the fully stocked kitchen.
The Property Management: Fabulous!!! Very easy and friendly to work with. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is going perfect for your stay. From the moment we inquired to make a reservation, thru the easy check-in process, and any inquiries we had while staying at the home; everything was responded to in such a timely and friendly manner.
We would definitely stay in this home again and use Sweetgrass to make the reservation!

BEST LOCATION!!! BEACH! BIKE! HOT TUB!
Thank you for the nicely equipped and CLEAN kitchen! We made meals, played board games at the large kitchen table, had comfortable evening family discussions in the sitting area. Walked to the conveniently NEARBY hot tub and beach (saw dolphins) and sprayed the sand off using the basement hose on our return- THEN....perfect access upstairs through screened in back porch area. Spotted the grazing deer and sunbathing alligator(croc?) from second floor balcony! Rented bikes and what a GREAT area for BIKING!!! Beach and neighborhoods! Harris Teeter close by for grocery needs! Eat out? Acme Lowcountry Kitchen nearby. CHARLESTON about 45 MIN. away. Slave Mart Museum, Damon Fordham Walking Tour, Gullah Culture Boone Hall, HANNIBALS Soul Food (flounder better than Fleets Landing). TAKEOUT!

The house needed repairs & updating it was vintage 1980’s
The main floor sliding door was impossible to open & close & didn’t completely close on the bottom. It allowed opportunity for bugs & cold air to seep out
TV’s were & station availability was old, couldn’t use regular cable channels
The sofa needed to be moved as it blocked credenza opening to main TV
The air conditioner broke
Ice maker didn’t work for most of the visit
Terrible smell from washing machine or behind it
Tiny TV’s in upstairs bedrooms
Doors on 1st floor bathroom needed to be planed went level
When we arrived there wasn’t a single hangar
Only 2 hair dryers although 4 baths
Porch on first floor needed new furniture. The white iron chairs were uncomfortable to sit in & table was old, cloth on it was old & stained.

Regarding the first floor air conditioner, the equipment was in good working order, but there was a frozen line which required clearing. We apologize for any inconvenience. Our property management team responded immediately, resolving the issue within 2 hours of receipt of your call, to ensure your comfort. We pride ourselves on responding quickly to any guest maintenance request.
When you asked that the ice maker be checked, our team was on-site within 30 minutes. While it was found to be operating properly, we were happy to check this and to supply a bag of supplemental ice for your convenience.
Additionally, we addressed the sliding door issue by lubricating the track for improved operation. However, it was found still to be cumbersome to operate, and thus we have plans to replace it.
We have replaced 3 of the TVs, upgrading them to offer an enhanced entertainment experience, based on your feedback.
Your feedback has been valuable and we hope you'll consider staying with us again in the future.
My husband and I rented this property the last three weeks of April so that we and our two young adult children could enjoy a rejeuvenating escape from the northeast after a year of Covid. Our experience did not disappoint and we had the best time!
While it is best to strategically plan your trips to the grocery store (usually done on our way back from a restaurant or an outing in Charleston), the remote setting on Ocean Point Drive is beautiful and devoid of crowds. We enjoyed daily idyllic walks on the beach and became rather addicted to watching the behavior of an alligator who often sunned himself across the lagoon. The house is close to a driving range, which my husband and son took advantage of most days.
The house was clean, bright, cheery, spacious and comfortable, and the four of us were able to spread out in various rooms to work remotely. At night we ate on the porch (bring your own tablecloth) and listened to the frogs. You can view sunsets from the porch but they're even better from the top balcony off the master bedroom.
We stayed a total of three weeks, and while we were working the second two, the sense of being on vacation remained.
The community's hot tub (with view of the ocean) and pool were open and are really close to the house. Do study the photos and read the reviews ahead of time - they are all helpful and accurate, although the house is even more spacious in person. I'll also add that the wifi supported four people on zoom calls and it only went out once for about an hour - and not because of anything wrong with the home's wifi.

Loved the proximity to the beach and the open floor plan. It was great for our large party to spend time together around the table and in the living room. We had plenty of towels and all the gear in the kitchen was really well organized - but there was no kitchen cooking basics (cooking spray, salt, pepper). The parking was pretty tight and we had some issues at the gate, but the communication with the host was helpful. Overall a great stay and clean space!
The home is beautifully appointed. The location is a little bit away from the main hustle and bustle of the resort...a perfect sanctuary.
