Tranquila Beach Cottage

The cottage is across the street from the beach .Aapproximately 100 yards or 3 minute walk to the gulf Everything you need is provided in the living area along with outdoor table and chairs that you can dine outside and enjoy the tropical breeze. Post hurricane, the landscape was damaged and the town is working hard to rebuild There are at least 10 restaurants open along with multiple food trucks

Bob and Molly’s rental is such a sweet place in perfect proximity to the beach and local grocery stores restaurants! It was stocked with everything we could possibly need, even things for our young kids. We can’t wait to come back!

Great stay

Rental was perfect for our long weekend with 6 adults. Easy and quick walk to the beach. Only negative was everything was driving distance (except beach). Otherwise a lovely area. There were plenty of towels, beach chairs and a wagon for hauling items to and from.

Had a fabulous stay! Hosts were great and very accommodating! There were plenty of towels, beach toys, umbrellas, etc that bringing your own just wastes room for souviners. Kids enjoyed their first beach vacation, and we enjoyed our stay! Great vantage point for both the beach, local shopping and site seeing!Beds were comfy, everything we needed was right there for kitchen necessities! A bit buggy on the patio, as is most of florida, so bring your bug spray!

Great place to stay near the beach, house was perfect for our family, outdoor space was a bonus. Check-in was a breeze and the owner was always reachable. Looking forward to staying here again.

Molly and Bob were very welcoming and attentive to any of our needs. The home is in a wonderful location of FMB, a great neighborhood for walking or biking. There is an easy walk to the bay and to the Mound House which has a great museum and also a new pier from which you can fish or just walk. The location to the beach is excellent, just a very short walk to Estero Blvd, cross over the blvd. and right to the beach access. We appreciated our dogs being allowed to come and the supply of umbrellas, chairs and cart to take it all to the beach. There is a very sitting area on the patio. We were very glad for the washer and dryer! The Bay Oaks rec center is a couple of blocks away, great for pickleball or for working out at the gym. Loved The Island Pancake House, which has the best breakfast on FMB. Other restaurants are also close by. We had a great stay at Tranquila Cottage in Fort Myers Beach!

My husband and I are retired and live the island lifestyle. I was a nurse and my husband worked in landscape and at different health facilities.

Why they chose this property

Our property is a duplex cottage and has been in the family since early 1900’s. There is nothing like island living!

What makes this property unique

Our cottage is a 100 yard walk to the beach. Swimming, sunbathing, playing in the sand, and beautiful sunsets are at your fingertips. We are walking distance from restaurants, downtown, a large library, water park, and gym. There is also a island trolley stop around the corner to take you where you need to go. Jet skiing and parasailing are available down the street from the cottage. On site, we have two patios (covered and uncovered) with BBQ grill, and a hammock.
