Plan a stay at our little cowboy cottage to enjoy the rich history of the Fort Worth Stockyards!
Our house was built in the Victorian Cottage style in 1907 - in the same year the historic Cowtown Coliseum was built. This historic neighborhood began development in 1902 with the arrival of the Armour and Swift Meat Packing Plants. The Reid House is located 3 blocks from the front door of Billy's Bobs Texas, and an easy walk to all the shops, restaurants, livestock events and night life along Exchange Avenue. This district is located very conveniently just 2 miles from downtown Fort Worth, Sundance Square and just 3 miles from the world-renowned museum district, Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, Will Rogers Complex, Dickies Arena and Texas Christian University Campus. Business travelers enjoy this convenient getaway location from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Come home to an afternoon on the porch, great private back deck or stroll down to Exchange and Main for a lively place to enjoy dinner or a rodeo or concert. So whether you are here for business or pleasure or both, this location is excellent!

Please make sure your trash is bagged and placed in outside trash bin. There is a recycling bin if needed. Thank you!
Please make sure dishes are washed and returned to cupboards and return kitchen camera to its kitchen view for security purposes. Thank you!

We had an amazing stay at this home in Fort Worth, right by the Stockyards! The vibes of the house were perfect, and everything was spotless and well cared for. The location couldn’t have been better. Ashlee was absolutely amazing—she answered all of my questions quickly and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. We stayed at FORT WORTH STOCKYARDS 1907 REID HOUSE – DFW/TEXAS to celebrate my mum’s 80th birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The property was absolutely lovely, spotlessly clean on arrival and beautifully presented. The beds were so comfortable, and there was plenty of storage throughout, which made settling in so easy.It had a real home-from-home feel and provided the perfect setting for our special family celebration. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay it was peaceful, welcoming, and full of charm. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area! If and when I return to DFW I’ll definitely be booking back in!

The house was as described, we had a great trip with easy access to all the things we had planned to do! The neighborhood wasn't the best but the location was great if you plan on spending your time at the stockyards and you don't want to drive. There was a camera in the kitchen, it was disclosed in the materials in the house and we were able to turn it around but it was a little creepy at first.

We stock produce the Stockyards Championship Rodeo, Billy Bob's Texas Bull Riding show and public and private rodeo events all over the area. The Fort Worth Stockyards is the heart of our work and personal life and we hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!

It is a part of the strong history of the Stockyards. We have restored every part of the home making it a cozy and comfortable home away from home. You can walk to the Stockyards from our house.
