Custom-Built Mountain Home With Spacious Backyard

Welcome to Brigadoon

Brigadoon is a 2,800 square foot, custom-built, comfortable mountain home with sophisticated, contemporary elements. Highlights of the finished lower level include a bonus room with a queen bed, a TV, a full closet, a full bathroom with a shower, an enclosed laundry room, a pool table, an entertainment area with a TV, and a walkout deck with Hot tub! New mattresses, TVs, furniture, carpet, and window treatments were added throughout the home as well.

The home has exposed timbers in the main living area and an open floor plan. The large dining area offers comfortable seating for 8-10 people at the main dining table with an additional game table and 4 chairs available that can be used for extra dining. Set on a double lot, Brigadoon has large wraparound decks with a propane gas grill, a picnic table, and a swing overlooking a spacious backyard and mountain views beyond. The flat backyard has a large bonfire-style fire pit and is great for children. There is a long-distance, mountain view that is visible from the living area, the kitchen, and the back deck.

The home is located between Boone and Banner Elk and is close to major attractions in the area. Hawks Nest Zip Line and Snow Tubing are less than a mile away. The house is just a short drive from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Grandfather Mountain, trout fishing, hiking, and more.

Important Information
- This home is permitted as a 3 bedroom and sleeps 10 in beds, but also has two alcove beds with foam mattresses for children near the dining area that are slightly smaller than twin beds. The beds have curtains that can be closed for privacy. 10 people are reasonably accommodated and permitted when utilizing these sleeping spaces. If you plan to use the alcove beds, please bring your own sets of twin sheets.
- This home has a level entry from the parking area, but there are stairs on the main level leading from the kitchen/dining area to the living room

Great place

Everything was really good, the bedrooms and bathrooms really good except for the bed sheets, this needed to be cleaned, it smelled bad. The living room was really cozy place and the yard was spectacular, the deers visiting us every day, we had a good experience, we will love to come back soon!

Great place and awesome follow-up!

We really enjoyed the house! Everything was the way it was pictured and the whole process worked out great. We forgot some ski pants and the cleaning crew returned them with cash still in the pocket! We will plan to stay in the same place the next time we visit the area whether it’s winter or summer.

Traveled from Florida and SC with our daughter’s family. The grandkids loved watching the wildlife roam in the backyard. There were several deer and a family of turkey. The home is nestled high up the mountain. The cooler air was much appreciated after our summer temps in FL and SC. Location was great for day trips we took to Linville, Grandfather Mtn, Tweetsie Railroad, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. The Lowe’s grocery store at the bottom of the mountain in Seven Devils has everything you need. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals. The home was comfortable but can use some updates on the main floor.

Everything was fine and perfect for staying. Few updates need to be changed like the toilet pan of the 3rd floor, heating system for the house for the ground floor is not quite good.

Awesome Home!

This beautiful home provides comfort, peace, and quiet in a very tranquil secluded location, yet only a short drive to the many area attractions. The Owner's added personal touches lets you know that it is nicely decorated well maintained. Amazing views at an altitude of approximately 4400 ft. The cool Summers provide exactly the kind of weather you would expect from being in the beautiful High Country of NC. We stayed here in the Summer, but if you prefer the Winter Season, you are situated within short driving distance to the area's three Ski Resorts, and only 5 minutes from the Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Zip-line venues. We enjoyed our stay at Brigadoon and would definitely return. Highly recommended!

Perfect mountain getaway

Loved everything about this house. Great location. Beautiful mountain decor. Pool table, multiple TV rooms, fully stocked with kitchen utensils for all your cooking needs. Rental company was so helpful when a big snowstorm hit. Would love to stay again.

This was absolutely The best vacation rental we’ve ever had. 6 adults & 4 children. Nice, clean & plenty of room. Temperature throughout the house was pretty consistent. I stayed in up stairs bedroom and it did not get too hot like most I’ve stayed in. Everyone loved it. Everything was in good working condition.

This was our first time staying at this property and it was by far the best. The house was very accommodating for our family of 9 (6 adults and 3 children). And the view was amazing. Steep winding road to get to the property but I would highly recommend this property.

Fabulous view and accommodations

The house was beautiful with a great view, nicely decorated and very comfortable! We had an issue getting the door open but the management company was pretty responsive (after being on hold) and helped us get in. Our stay was short so it was really nice to have the starter supplies (like dishwashing detergent and soap) there! Would love to come back but definitely not without the right vehicle in the winter - those were some steep and curvy roads!

Beautiful Getaway!

The house and views were absolutely beautiful. We were extremely comfortable with 4 adults and two small children. We would definitely choose to stay at Brigadoon again. Nice fairly level backyard the kids could run around in. Great proximity to tubing at Hawksnest, hiking at Otter Falls, cute playground for our littles, and just a short drive to skiing at Sugar Mt. The house was overall clean and tidy, but it seemed the showers hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. Other than that we loved stay and would highly recommend!

Mountain getaway

Brigadoon is an amazing house with several levels to accommodate our 3 families. Huge back yard perfect for sledding, right up the hill from Hawksnest and just minutes from Sugar Mtn. 4-wheel drive is a must in the snow but the property sits beautifully. Everything we needed was there plus much we didn’t expect. We would definitely stay here again!

Hawksnest trip

Wonderful Weekend at Brigadoon in Seven Devils

We and our guests enjoyed a wonderful, snowy weekend stay at Brigadoon. The property was in immaculately cleaned condition and very comfortable. Plenty of room to enjoy the fire, share meals, play board games and gather around the firepit and in the hot tub during a windy, cold and unexpectedly snowy long weekend. A wonderfully cozy cabin in which to spend time with your family and friends. Will definitely have a return stay, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an enjoyable stay in the High Country.

Great for our Girls Weekend!

Loved this spacious cabin and all the amenities! Proximity to Hawks Nest and Otter Falls trail was great. We enjoyed shopping in Boone and dinner and drinks at Boonshine Brewing. All of the beds were amazing and comfy with all the supplies we needed. I will definitely rent this again. Thank you!

What an experience

Beautiful home, easy process. My wife and I, plus some of our family came together to celebrate my wife's birthday away in the mountains and the entire trip was so memorable. Wonderful family getaway

We loved our stay! It was a beautiful cabin with lots of space! We enjoyed the game room, fire pit spacious yard, and hot tub! The kitchen was well equipped. It was in a great location and we can't wait to go back. We will definitely stay again in the future.

Beautiful property, great location. We enjoyed all the amenities and had plenty of room for all 10 of us and 4 cars. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. You do not need to bring any kitchen supplies. Beautiful architecture and decorations inside. We will definitely rent this property again.
